We had bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, and a birthday biscuit. They were not memorable. Dry, and without a lot of taste. Sorry, this was a recommendation from a friend, but did not work for us. The icing on the birthday biscuit was good, however.
These are some of the best biscuits I have had, growing up in the south that is a hard claim to live by. Hubby had biscuits and gravy and I had the bacon and cheese.
If you like biscuits, this is the place to go. Their bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was really well done. For such a small place, service was fast
So excited that they now have a line of their biscuits at Whole Foods so I can get a little taste of Charleston when I’m not there! So flaky, delicious, & decadent.
This is probably the single nicest customer service experience I have ever had. We were staying nearby the Market and I happened to get to the market about 30 min before they opened. The Market location is located in an air conditioned section behind glass doors. Since I got there early I was hesitant to enter the glass doors but the employees welcomed me in and were happy to answer questions I had, even before they officially opened. They also took my order 20 min before they formally opened and were very gracious dealing with my indecisiveness (because everything looked and sounded amazing). At check out, the woman helping me (I’m kicking myself for not catching her name) said “there was so extra space in the box so I threw in 2 more biscuits and also some Gingerbread biscuits since I made you wait so long” (this was during the Holiday season). Mind you: they opened early for me and then apologized for taking a long time (which they didn’t; it was super fast) by essentially doubling my order for free for no reason. I have very rarely felt compelled to come back and write a review, positive or negative. But this was different. The biscuits and accoutrements are amazing and well worth any wait, but the customer service was even better. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed everything we got from Callie's. The biscuits were tasty and the selection was decent.
These little biscuits were great! Very nice young lady at the register who graciously answered my every question. She was very informative and a huge help in ordering. The shortcake biscuit with blackberry jam was my fav of the three. The cheddar and chive with bacon would be my second fav. However all were delicious. Will definitely be back! A gem of a place!
So glad we stopped to try these biscuits! They were light and fluffy and full of flavor. Be sure to stop if you can!
We waited in line for 40 minutes to order 2 biscuit/egg/cheese & 2 cinnamon twisties. Then waited 30 minutes for our order. We took it to the park to eat. I took a couple of bites of mine & discovered a long black hair wrapped inbetween the cheese & egg. Ugh. The twisties were about 1/4 of a cinnamon roll. The little bit of the biscuit I ate was very good. But, $45 and an hour wait wasn't worth it to me. Sorry Callie ☹
Stopped in for breakfast as my last meal in Charleston before departing. Had walked by Callie's a few times and wanted to try it. Did not see a biscuit with just egg and cheese on menu and asked if I could order off menu. I was told that "of course this was possible". After a short wait outside, I was provided with a bag with one of the most delicious biscuits I have ever eaten. Coffee was just ok. Would definitely return if ever in Charleston again. This is a"must try" for a delicious quick breakfast.
