We contacted Jennifer about 4-5 months ahead to plan a date for our First Grandson's Graduation from high school family dinner. Easy to deal with, all plans in place, no worries. Service by Abbie and Gina was excellent, never missed a beat. Everyone’s entrees we’re delicious. Thank you Amicis for making our graduation family dinner a priority and special. Could not have asked for better.
This is a terrific old-school Italian restaurant in a fun, casual setting. The menu is large, the service is great, and the food is terrific. Lots of items to choose from!
We love coming to have dinner at Amici's! We are never disappointed. The Meatball sliders are delicious (and I do not eat others meatballs but my own...lol), so I know I am 100% Italian! Fabulous food, service and sangria! Jennifer and Mario are THE BEST, you really should check it out.....My personal favorite dish is the Shrimp with Lemon butter, garlic and spinach, over al dente spaghetti!!! Bon Apetite!!!!
My wife and I ate at Amici's on Saturday 4/23. We each had the homemade sausage and mushroom soup which was awesome. We also both had the Veal Amici which was veal marsala with provolone cheese melted on top with handmade pasta. We finished dinner with a cannoli and chocolate cake! Everything was so awesome, it is our intention to eat there every time we are in the Charleston area.
They did well on seating us as stated, however it took 45 minutes to be served our dinners. The Veal Parmigiano was gristley and burned. The saddest thing was that it was cold. We requested to have the spaghetti noodle changed to penne or something bite size. We were advised that they won't do that because it upsets the chef. Really? Switching pasta? We also ordered the meatball sliders, they were ok, nothing exciting. We received two small rolls with our meals, when we requested more, we were charged an additional $2. Highly disappointed.
Your typical Italian restaurant with paintings of Italy on the walls, old blue eyes signing etc. etc. Luckily the food is good, with freshly baked rolls to start with (always a good sign), then an excellent Caesar salad and a top notch chicken piccata. If I'd had any room left I would have tried one of the desserts. My only niggle is that my side plate wasn't perfectly clean.
From the beautiful music ? (Italian lyrics on many) to the couples from NY and NJ at the next table over (I love the accents) … you know you are getting the best of Italian food in Charleston. ?? The wine was delicious, bread was fresh and hot with EVOO and balsamic on each table, and the wait staff were so attentive (no desire goes unfulfilled). Head here for pasta, fresh and homemade (or as close as a restaurant can get) soup, and ambience. Send up a toast ? and prayer for safe travels ✈️ for me while you are at it!
I haven't been able to visit in a while but it's still perfect! The food was absolutely incredible, atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The waitstaff are helpful and attentive, making sure everything is to your liking! If you are looking for an Authentic local owned Italian restaurants this is a must visit!
