+ Pungent fish smell throughout, it will be on you.- A/C didn't seem to be working, hot+ Our waitress was fantastic.- Food took more than 30 minutes.- Food wasn't hot, just like warm.+ Every thing tasted good, hush puppies were amazing.
First time visit, I must say it was a great experience. I returned the next day to delight myself in having the salad bar including an appetizer. The salad bar is loaded with fresh vegetables and everything needed to make it delicious including edible ?. The chicken tenders were cooked fresh and deliciously seasoned. I will visit again the next time Im in the area. I most definitely recommend this place of business. You won't be disappointed. ?
A group of 11 went here for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals. Great service.Loved the fried oysters, sweet potato fries, hush puppies, mac-n-cheese. Collard greens & green beans were salty, but our server replaced them with another side of our choice. Fried shrimps & fish were good. Fried chips were just OK, could be better.
We just left this restaurant after sitting for about 30 minutes with no one even coming near our table. People cleaned all around us. Not ONE person spoke to us. Have eaten there before and liked it but the person who seated us was not friendly and then to have people just act as if you weren’t there was totally unacceptable. I have never walked out of a restaurant before but will DEFINITELY NOT go back. There were only 6 other tables with diners. Can’t claim being busy.
All of our food was absolutely delicious!!! Crab legs were cooked perfectly. The baked potato salad is so good! Also, our waitress Shonda was amazing and did an excellent job. She was very patient and accommodating!! Thank you for a great experience!
The customer service was ok. Our waitress was a little slow but she was nice so that was a plus. The food looked good and the sides were good. However, my husband ordered a Mullet fish dinner and I ordered the Catfish dinner, both meals had spoiled fish. The fish definitely was not FRESH, they smelled bad. If we smelled it, the COOK smelled it! Everyone knows when fish is going bad so I feel this was intentional. I do appreciate the fact that the Manager removed the items from our check but we will not be returning to DeShawn's.
I ENJOYED THE CRAB LEGS!!? ALL YOU CAN EAT...AND THEY REFILLED MY DRINKS TO GO...GREAT SERVICE.
Love this place! We always make it a point to go to DeShawns when we are in the area. By far the best crab legs, I have ever had.
I have fallen in love with DeShawn's Seafood & Chicken! Going there feels like visiting family because of the friendly staff. The food tastes EXCELLENT! OMG The menu has seafood, soul food, healthy options, and decadent desserts. This is a popular local establishment that tourists and visitors in the CSRA have to dine at. It's #casual dining, #Southerncooking, #familyfriendly, and #Black-owned.
Went last Friday the bream was amazing and FRESH. Came tonight February 11, 2022 and the bream had the worst smell I've ever encountered. I thought maybe it was a bad piece but no every piece after that had a terrible smell. I can definitely say I won't be visiting this restaurant again.
