I've never seen so much energy from the chefs before. They all had a sense of humor and an upbeat attitude. There's no room for being sleepy at these tables because they will make sure that you are up to enjoy the show. Also, after the great food and spectacular show you'll enjoy a tasty sherbert for dessert.
We saved our trip to Yamato for our last night at Myrtle Beach. When we arrived, we were told to come back in 1 1/2 hours to give our phone number and then we would be put on the waiting list and receive a text when our table was ready, but don't go more than 2 stores away in the meantime because they would only hold our table for 3 minutes. What kind of system is this? The hostesses were 2 teenage girls who seemed more interested in their cell phones than helping customers. The manager was extremely rude and condescending. I asked the one hostess if I could just give my phone number now instead of coming back. She said OK but don't tell anyone because we're not supposed to do this. Once we got through the original BS and were seated, the rest of our visit was very nice. Service was great, chef was very entertaining and talented, food was excellent!
Great food and a great chef. The Waiter not so sharp. Absolutely not accommodating to Gluten free diners. We wanted a meal Cooked separately like every other place we have been to . Gluten free soy sauce would be nice even . They would not offer that at all. We won’t return because of that. The hostess girls need some refreshing on kindness and pleasant customer service.
YAMATO at Broadway At The Beach in Myrtle Beach is a great place to go for delicious hibachi and sushi and much more in a cool and fun atmosphere. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.
Everything started off good; wait time was shorter than quoted, had a lovely group of people at the table and the cook was funny. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the food- until we got back to our rental. I got intensely sick and did not sleep at all last night because every time i laid back down i had to throw up again. Luckily my mom is a nurse and was able to quickly figure out that i got a $30 serving of salmonella. My girlfriend was perfectly fine, so I guess if you want to visit this disaster of a restaurant just don’t order the chicken.
Ate there for the 3rd time over Memorial weekend. Great food and service! Love their Shrimp sauce! Their cooks are all great and make it a fun experience. We had Chicken, Filet and Chicken and all was excellent.
For a Monday night, this place was busy… which was a great sign!! With our reservation, we still had to wait about 25 minutes. It was a family celebration, being my grandson’s 13th birthday!!!! We were seated with a couple who had a baby, and it was the lady’s birthday too! Our waitress was Cindy, and she was great!!! She was attentive and super nice. She and our chef made my grandson’s special day very memorable. The couple we sat with was also wonderful. This is a great place to come with your family !!
Loved dining here. Had our 3-year-old Grandson with us and he was thoroughly entertained!! The food was delicious and we all left stuffed!
This place is awesome!! The food is great and so is the service. They seat you with other groups of people at one large table and a chef comes and cooks your food in front of you. Our cook was hilarious and made it really fun. The portions are HUGE! The sushi is also good. Great hibachi restaurant try if you're in Myrtle Beach.
I have been here many times over the last 20 years and it always been good. The atmosphere at Broadway at the Beach is always a fun place to visit. On the recent visit it felt different than in the past. The employees seemed tired and not very socially motivated. Could be on off night or it may be this way every night now. The food is good and a great place for Japanese food cooked at your table. I would go back again larger due to the location.
