We were only able to sit outdoors even though the majority of the indoor tables were empty. We had to physically pick up and move the table to try and get out of the sun (we werenât successful). We killed time waiting for our food by trying to kill the five or so flies that kept flying at our table. Service was not great either. I had to go to the bar to order a drink because our waitress didnât come around. We got our first refill when the food came and it was only because we had to ask for them. Iâve been to other Tupelo Honey restaurants and havenât had this level of service. Very disappointed.
The chicken and waffles were fye!!!
Visiting Myrtle Beach, Tupelo Honey has become a staple of our vacations. Great, Southern style cooked meals, inviting atmosphere, too-notch service.
Service is excellent, food was average at best. The menu has been VERY paired down and our favorites are no longer available. Somewhat disappointed to be honest.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
I thought that everything was delicious!
This was our first visit since the pandemic and it was nice to see that it has remained a good place to dine. It's a hike for us (about an hour) since we live in Ocean Isle but worth the occasional drive. The food was very good but the heralded biscuits were barely warm. The shrimp and grits was a little different than I remembered now using chorizo sausage rather than andouille. But the service was outstanding (Frank) and the atmosphere in the restaurant was upbeat and energetic. Very nice evening.
Great food, fried chicken was a little dry. Fried green tomatoes were excellent, along with the shrimp and grits. Cannot forget the amazing biscuits as well. We will be back!
Came here with my friends, while in Myrtle Beach, on a Girls Trip. Looking to have my first ever “Shrimp & Grits” experience, I found Tupelo Honey when I searched for Shrimp & Grits in Myrtle Beach. I was pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant, tucked away in a beautiful community, complete with shops, other dining options and beautiful town homes. The experience deserves 5 stars! The food was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was happy and chic. I ordered the Brussels sprouts to start with the Shrimp & Grits as my entree. The Brussels sprouts were good! They were crispy yet not overcooked. The Shrimp & Grits were outstanding!! The secret ingredient was the goat cheese mixed in with the grits. I cleaned my bowl! The drinks were delicious and unique. The honey used in my “Bees Knees” cocktail was fresh and gave the drink a special quality. I’m already looking forward to visiting Tupelo Honey on my next trip. There were many items on the menu that intrigued me.
Took the family for our last night of vacation and it was so good, the food, drinks, atmosphere did not disappoint.
