The Tavern in Surfside has some pretty good food along with a good atmosphere where you can bring a date or the whole family. The staff are very friendly and attentive to their customers from quick service and quality of the foods. So I would and will definitely go here again to eat or have just a drink ??
Great experience when we walked in to when we got to bar greeted with a smile from Anna and sam !! Food was great ! They had specials also ! We will be back !
First time here and it was delicious. Our waiter Shawn was so helpful and answered all our questions. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was to die for delicious. We can't wait to go back and try something else. Shawn told us whatever we order we will love it and I do believe that he knows what he is talking about. Several tables around us had ordered and it all looked wonderful and they all looked like they were enjoying everything they ordered!
This place is so awesome! The beer is cold and the food is always great. My boyfriend & I always sit at the bar and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting Missy & Greg. I can’t say enough good things about this young lady and young man. They have made us feel at home and always always has a smile. We always ask when they’re working and enjoy seeing them when we come to Surfside Tavern. You have a great team with these 2..!!! Thanks Missy & Greg for always taking care of us.
Burgers are huge and very flavorful. Got the Mac & cheese burger and it came with beer cheese oh my ! Buffalo chicken dip was soooooo yummy too. Great atmosphere and all servers are super helpful. Love the outside seating and trivia night. When we walked by people everyone’s food looked amazing. Run, don’t walk to this amazing place !
Second time there, first time food was good. Today burgers like hockey pucks we ordered them medium. Chopped salad with cold grilled chicken. Lettuce should have been thrown out weeks ago. We sent back the salad but we were still charged but that's OK waitress was probably new. We paid the full bill including tip. The only thing I could say was the fried pickles were good.
Locally owned tavern offering a select line of pizzas, burgers and unique cocktails. One can enjoy live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well as indulge in their brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Trendy interior offers comfortable, padded booth and bar seating, multiple big screen TVs and a expansive patio. Our menu selection was the Carolina Gold pizza with grilled chicken, Carolina Gold sauce and ranch drizzle. Loved the firmer, chewier crust with the tangy, but sweet honey mustard sauce with the creamy smoothness of ranch. A fair amount of chunks of grilled chicken and a blend of cheese added the finishing touches to a very enjoyable pie. Service was friendly and prices doable.
First time customers, my fiance and I went for lunch. We had the pork porterhouse and the club sandwich. The sandwich was so big he couldn't finish it. I thought the porterhouse was very good. But what made the place so great was the service! Our server was on the spot and took amazing care of us. The staff deserves ten stars.
Came in with family, we usually come in every 4-6 weeks to have something nice. This visit was far from nice. We arrived at 2:36 pm, between the lunch and dinner crowd. For a Thursday this spot is usually jamming, but not today. It could have been because of the little boy Julian who was screaming and carrying on while in a Tavern! Honestly, this is not preschool and he should not have been there. Perhaps it was the father? who was making obscene comments about women changing their underwear vs. the color of their hair in a voice that carried throughout the Tavern? Seriously this is not the place it once was. We were told by a wait staff that all the mangers and all the waitresses quit in one day. How depressing! The worst of it all is the food. We ordered potato skins which were frozen in the middle of the potatoes, not just one, but 3 of the 4 on the plate. Did you use a thermometer to make sure they were fully cooked? No, I don't think you did. The waiter was nice enough to bring us 2 more, but they were not done in the middle either. Perhaps the sour cream or the handmade dressing was sour or bad? I ordered the Italian Sub, with mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was served as if I was a child ordering from the kids menu, the kind of heat and serve you would get at Red Robin? We were comped on the potato skins but the meal took over an hour to get to us. By the time we were done with out meal it was 5 till 4 PM. At 6:36 when we got home from our outings, I didn't feel 100%. I made it to the bathroom just in time to start throwing up the food I had ingested at the Tavern at Surfside. I was the whole night. Never ever coming here again. I advise you never go here again, if you do, only get the liquor, don't eat the food.
