Loved this little spot. We, like many others walked over to Margaritaville but was told the wait would be over an hour. We then headed right across to Southern Grill. We saw the positive reviews and figured it was worth a shot. I must say I agree 100% with the positive reviews I read. The restaurant was clean and the door was open to let in a breeze. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. And the food was amazing!! We ordered cheesesteaks and burgers. Everything was fresh even the mac & cheese. Best fries I've had in awhile. No complaints. We will be back.
Didn't have any problems with my food but my middle son didn't care for the mac and cheese, it looked dry, and my oldest one didn't like the fries. The food took a little longer to come out than i thought it would and my wife noticed that the person doing the cooking didn't change his gloves at all while we were there.
They need to work on sandwich presentations. Philly cheese steak needs mayo and wash grill.
Burger with onion rings was pretty good and very fresh, but the GYRO on subsequent visit was unexpected 100% authentic Mediterranean AMAZING!! - maybe the best I’ve ever had Stateside. Owner I found out is from Med region. I’ll be back.
The food here is AMAZING! It's like the best bar and grill food you've ever had. And the smoothies are so delicious it was worth $8/glass and I never thought I'd say that! ?
The employees are very friendly people.The service is very fast compared to the surrounding restaurants. Also, the foods is delicious. I will definitely come back here to eat while I'm here.
Best mushroom and swiss burger ever! Will return next vacation.
Buffalo chicken sub was great, macaroni is cold though for the kids and chicken tenders were bad. Fries are average, could use a chef to come in and redo the menu/teach how to cook
My husband and I chose to eat at the Southern Grill this weekend while walking around Broadway on the Beach. Neither of us wanted a big sit down lunch, so this was our choice. I had the chicken tenders and fries, and my hubby had the cheeseburger. Both were very good! The staff was friendly. Pricing was well worth the money. I would recommend!
If you have been exploring Broadway at the beach and Riley's aquarium all day and then you try to get into Jimmy buffett's Margaritaville and it has an almost 3 hour wait time.....Southern Grill is a great back up option being right across the from it! The food was solid and the service was fast to have been so packed.
