This place is great. The owner is a very hardworking guy who cares about the satisfaction of his customers. We are from up North and the Italian restaurants near us do not compare. We got the dumplings as an appetizer and they were absolutely amazing. The flavors were out of this world. The bread is good and the pasta dishes we had were also very delicious. 10/10 for sure.
Run by the sweetest family. We initially had the granddaughter serving us (who is looking to take over the business in the future) and to be frank, she wasn’t great. We later had her grandmother help serve us and she was WONDERFUL. Two of our party members had them make dishes that weren’t even on the menu and they absolutely nailed it. Please go support this locally owned restaurant!
Best Italian food I’ve ever had, family owned restaurant everything is homemade even the pasta noodles. The owner comes to your table and treats you like family. There is 3 generations working there. The owner has been in the business since he was 14yrs old. A True Italian restaurant a great place to take your family or friends highly recommended, they do not disappoint.
I went in with my son tonight for dinner. The food has always been very good and the place full of people. Not tonight and I now know why. My boy ordered Penna with Marinara Sauce and I ordered Penna Vodka. The plates were the size of sides not entrees. We were charged $18.00 for my son’s dish and $22.00 for mine. Ordered Soda’s @ $3.50 each. We were brought the smallest bottle of coke you can buy. I asked if they did refills, they said no. I sent the bottled soda back. Then I get the check and 4.5% has been added to the price of the meal to offset the cost of using a card.I don’t mind the card charge. I don’t like it, it should be figured into the cost of the meal, but to give us the portions they did and charge the amount they did was just wrong. So, in short, the food has always been good, the place has gone way up in price for a meal and the portions have gotten much smaller. I want everyone to succeed, but don’t turn a good business into a tourist trap. Even with the quality of the food, I don’t think at these prices the place will survive and that’s to bad. Wish I could say better things, but I feel like I was raked over the cools on this meal.
The portions are smaller perhaps for the same reason your 1 lb can of coffee only has 13 ozs-----Good quality but if you are a big eater this may not be the place for you. The pasta served with the Chicken Picata on the side was no more than two mouthsful.
Been coming here 1-2 x per year since 2014. Some things are the same, others like everywhere else aren't as good. Family owned and run Italian themed restaurant is a plus. At least 3 generations of the family work there and really care about their diners. Always good to have the owner come to your table. Like everywhere else though, they are short on help. Had to wait to get seated, and served on a fairly busy Monday night, though once waited on, things went faster. Bread great but no longer have anything to dip it in other than olive oil. Salad just ok though the dressing was good. Used to have good house wines. Could not finish the Merlot. Got a Malbec that was better but at $9 per glass, not what it used to be. The shrimp scampi and Zuppa De Pesce with the fra diavlo sauce though was still the awesome entrees from years ago. Overall the food is still great. The tiramisu is also the best most realistic in Myrtle Beach. Prices though have gotten high for drinks, dessert and some of the entrees. A 4% SERVICE CHARGE IS ADDED TO YOUR BILL IF YOU USE CREDIT CARDS as well. Portion sizes are also down from what I recall. Good if you don't want leftovers, bad if you were hoping to get a second meal out of it. Would really love this to be my monthly go to restaurant but for value, and pricing, plus available coupons for now it remains only a special occasion hot spot. Note, they do have rooms/tables for large parties if interested.
We enjoyed our dinner. I got the shrimp scampi and my husband got the sea bass. Both were very good. The Cesar salad was one of the best I have had. The items are a bit pricey, but you pay for the quality. My only complaint would be we never received the appetizer I ordered two different times. We weren’t charged for it though. Bread is included with your meal. ?
Excellent homemade pasta! Service was right on! Family demands we go there whenever they visit.small quaint restaurant so recommend reservations.
We recently spent two weeks vacationing in North Carolina and South Carolina. Although we focused mostly on restaurants that offered "Southern" food, we did eat at Sole Italian Restaurant in Myrtle Beach and it was one of the best experiences on our vacation. Friendly people and excellent food.
One of the very best Italian restaurants in the USA! Excellent food and wine. Be patient with the owners as they are having a difficult time getting help. Your patience will be worth it.
