Very good southern country BBQ place. Excellent food. We went on a Friday and they had fried fish which was amazing. Everything was freshly made. The staff also was very nice and friendly.
This was literally the best place we ate at in SC. The food was amazing and the first day eating there (place was so good, we had to go twice) the floor server (Stacey) was so awesome!!! His service and spirit resonated through out the restaurant! He was quick, efficient and had great conversation.Although I could not eat most of the food due to diet restrictions. What I could eat was amazing. I did veggie plates and i was full as if I had all of the meat that they offered. And seeing all of the Black men in the kitchen gave me joy as they worked the kitchen.
We’re from Michigan and decided to try this place! Best food I’ve had on the trip! Chicken was delicious and juicy, collard greens were so flavorful and the green beans! The stars of the show were the Mac n cheese and banana pudding! My daughters loved it too! Great price! $40 for two adults and one kid.
It's a buffet style restaurant. A little chaotic but decent food. They offer gloves to help with germs but that only works if people use them. Seating is first come first serve so be prepared. The food itself was ok, not great. Cornbread, ribs (when fresh), mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, banana pudding, Lima beans, all were good. The pulled pork had no flavor and was discolored. The price was good and It's not horrible food but don't go expecting much.
Upon arrival, the outside wasn't adorned with any fancy signs or designs. Once inside though, you can smell the food from the barbeque to the fried chicken. Because it is served buffet style, you can taste a lot before settling on your favorite. I did the pulled pork, spare- ribs and roasted chicken. The vegetables were traditional, so I settled on the greens and lima beans. My first plate of food was very well cooked and had plenty of flavor. The table had different sauces to add to the meats. I did a second run for some additional spare- ribs and then a side dessert of both peach and blueberry cobbler. All in all, they hit a home run!
Not a buffet fan ,but you add BBQ in to this and I suddenly became a believer.. Who would know something this amazing was in MB. The food options are small but everything is cooked to perfection. If you want southern BBQ this is home.
Amazing down home cooking with excellent ribs and banana pudding. This place would kill it in North Carolina here the country food is non-existent
I tried to go inside to eat, but you can only eat inside if you get the buffet. I wanted to order the daily special so the lady (who was unfriendly) told me I had to go through the drive through. I ordered the fried fish special with mac and cheese and collard greens. The mac and cheese and greens were bland. And the Mac and cheese was made from imitation cheese. I like my food flavorful with spices so maybe it would be good for someone who doesn’t like a lot of flavor. The fish wasn’t fully fried, it was gooey under the batter. Tater sauce was really good though. The gentleman at the drive through window was very nice, which was a plus! One recommendation is to not put the take out utensils inside of the take-out box with the food. Just put it in the bag. The package with the utilities was covered with food when I tried to open it.Overall - a hot mess…literally and figuratively.
One of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Fantastic Southern food. Top 5 Baby Back ribs I've had. Service is so nice, and they might gift you with a song. At only $15 a person, you've got nothing to lose, and inches on the waist to gain from their banana pudding. We'll be back.
Happened upon this place by chance and was glad that we did! The food was great and the price was right. I have a feeling we will be back on our next trip!
