Been meaning to visit this restaurant for years now and finally got here. Was a sunday night at 5pm(had a 7pm show at Carolina Opry). Pretty decent size parking lots opposite the restaurant for free parking. Also offer Valet parking not sure of costs. My wife and I are bar people so we sat at the bar right behind the hostess station. Only later did we find out they had another bar just to the right of the hostess station and even an outdoor bar/patio if you want outdoor dining. During our visit it was 95 outside so outdoor dining not an option for us. Bar we sat at had about 10 seats. The other indoor bar had 12 or so seats. The bar we sat at had only one TV and it was off to the side. The other bar had a couple that were more traditionally located so your seats faced the TV. the restaurant is pretty big with many levels, where the next level is lower than the previous so most if not all tables you could see the ocean as it is right on the beach. plenty windows facing the water. Service was excellent. Attentive but not overbearing as we had couple hours to kill. Place was not really busy as it was early. Wife had a moscow mule $8 i had the JC lemonade $10 off the specialty drinks menu. both tasty. they serve you hush puppies in place of bread, pre-meal. Tasty with a fish like flavor. we ordered Low country boil dip $16. it was really good. sort of a cross between a clam boil and lobster bisque soup. loaded with clams, shrimp, fish in a creamy broth. served with little pieces of bread for dipping scooping up the stock. not enough bread for amount of the dip so finished it off with spoon. very good. we had flounder fish and chips $29 and Captains seafood muddle $30. both good. nice thick french fries with the fish and chips that had a really good seasoning on them. big piece of fish. the muddle is in a red saffron type sauce with shrimp, scallops, fish, mussels, little necks. Reallly good flavor and good size portions. Will definitely put this into our rotation of seafood restaurants. Pricey so be prepared. had a drink after dinner at outside bar and on this sunday there was a singer/guitar player out on patio entertaining.

I absolutely love this place- I make a point to go every time we’re in MB. Stopped in for dinner-seated in a back corner that felt we would be forgotten about. Sure enough, we waited forever for a server to come by- when she did she asked for our order. We asked if we could start with drinks, she seemed irritated that we didn’t know what entrees we wanted and got even more irritated when we asked what soft drinks were available for our kids- it’s not exactly listed on the menu. It was forever before we saw her again- she brought out some drinks, gave the table next to us refills and when they asked for something else, she went into the kitchen to get it and never brought our drinks. We sat there forever just looking at our drinks sitting on a tray with no one to get them to us so we ended up just leaving. Seemed like an indication that we were doomed to have awful service. I can’t imagine spending upwards of $30 for an entree while having to deal with such bad service. Maybe I’ll try again next time we’re in town. So disappointed.

The absolute finest meal I've had on Myrtle beach - live guitarist outdoors, wine list and fish prepared to please. Service is friendly, professional and fun. Save up a few dollars and go spend them at the Sea Captains Table

We had been recommended this restaurant as we wanted some great seafood. Our server - Christian - was excellent and dealt with all enquiries and requests well, but he was let down by the cook/chef. Fried green tomatoes as starter - breaded and lacking flavour.

We had a wonderful meal on our last night in Myrtle Beach here. The food was amazing and our waitress was wonderful. The complementary hush puppies taught us that we know nothing and do actually like them. We had a view of the ocean from where we sat and it seemed you would almost anywhere you were seated.

We were here on a Friday night just my husband and myself. I had made reservations before we traveled. The food is absolutely amazing, the red sangria is to die for, the she crab soup is by far the best soup I have ever had in my entire life, the salmon was moist and flaky, scallops broiled perfectly and crispy fried shrimp… And don’t forget the absolutely amazing hush puppies. Now our waitress Karrie was absolutely amazing. I honestly have never been to a restaurant even in our home state with service so great. My husband and I like to do a fun little game where we choose a few different appetizers and entrées and we let our waitress choose from those options. She chose amazingly. We will definitely be coming back next vacation.

Our waiter was great! He (Gill) was very attentive and helpful always there to answer questions and throw out a well humored comment. He stayed completely on top of Drink refills for our party of 6 and offered to take a family picture over desserts! Fantastic ending to our vacation!

The she crab soup was really good. The shrimp and grit cakes were ok. Too much sauce. The view is beautiful.

Our food -- Southwest Shrimp Salad, Jambalaya, Shrimp Tacos were all fantastic! The complimentary hush puppies were the best we have ever had! Our server was excellent!

The restaurant was highly recommended but leaves much to be desired regarding service. I had a reservation and was seated immediately. The restaurant was not overly crowded upon arrival. I was a solo diner and after waiting 15 minutes and seeing multiple tables seated and orders taken before myself, I went to the bar and purchased my drink. I flagged down a hostess to inquire about a server to which it took an additional 5 minutes and still no server. I would’ve left had I not already paid Lyft to get here. After being informed of a specific server, she never came to take my order and another server finally did. The crab cake was fine (and was comped by the manager later due to the horrible service) and the salmon was good as well. The saffron rice, on the other hand, was obviously burnt and the kitchen still sent it out to be served. My server (for whom I ended up with by default) was truly apologetic but she was not at fault for the initial horrible lack of service and the food. This was my first visit to Myrtle Beach as well as the restaurant and I definitely will not recommend it.
