This place is perfect. The menu is amazing with so many options. The frozen drinks are alittle pricey, but with no bar close by they are totally worry it and taste wonderful. We had the pizza, burgers, steak sandwich, fries, mushrooms, pickles you name it, it was good.
Your sleeping if you pass up Scooby's they have a full menu and drinks for take out and trust me the drink prices are pretty much half price compared to the beach bars! The Jell-O shots are bomb and the burge with fries was the best meal I had here! Not to mention the owner and staff are super cool and friendly!
Cool little place to grab some quick food. Cheese burger was good, fries not bad, mixed drinks were great. They have table outside and a few stools inside but it's a very small place. Better to get your food and go.
I’ve never been before but I had heard so many great things about Scooby’s so I wanted to try it. Needless to say, I was not impressed. All employees were rude, everything was so crowded (people reaching over you to grab their food and then you have to reach over someone to get your food), and the food was not good and very expensive. I understand the food was more expensive because it’s convenient when coming back from the beach. Although, with all the rudeness and quality of our food I was not happy paying what I did. Also, I’m pretty sure my margarita did NOT have any alcohol when I specifically asked for it.
Food was delicious and the ice cream was even better! A bit pricey, but it's Myrtle Beach and I feel the food and service justified the price! Would definitely recommend!!
It was late and I was hungry. Scooby's was downstairs in the hotel we were staying so I walked down and grab a burger and fries. They weren't bad, good for what it is. They actually have a good size food menu, mixed drink menu with fish bowls, and ice cream. It's alot packed into a very small area but they do have outside seating.
Wouldn't recommend coming here. Overpriced food that isn't really that good. Also ordered a cocktail that made me severely sick halfway through it. I have a high alcohol tolerance so it had to be the drink. There were chunks of something floating around in the bottom of it and did not look like anything it's suppose to. I order this drink all the time from different restaurants and this was nothing like it. I have stayed sick all night and all day puking from this. So much for enjoying vacation.
Awesome shrimp! Not heavy, just right calabash style—great fries, and slaw! Wish I had eaten here the whole time—fresh, hot, made-to-order, great service. Will come again!
Visited after a day on the beach with our 4 kids. Kids grabbed a counter spot and my husband I went to the counter to to order ice cream, food and drinks. I am 42 years old so I wasn’t prepared to be carded. When staff came by where we were seated I asked if it is common to be carded clearly not close to 21. I just want to know if I should always carry ids while on the beach. She responded that they were carding more since the weekend because (then she silently mouthed) Black People. My husband and I asked her to repeat what she said, and she again mouthed black people. Not sure if she knew that the two black kids sitting next to us were our children or if she just assumed because we are white that we subscribe to the same tire, old prejudices that get circulated within some white circles….but we don’t believe black people lie more about being underage more that white people. After finishing our food my husband took our children back to the beach and I had a conversation with the woman. I asked her to clarify what she meant by black people and she immediately became defensive, left the conversation and paced behind the man that came to speak with me. He explained that because the employ black people and are friends with black people they couldn’t be racist. I just wanted her to recognize her blind spot of bias, but I am not sure she is able to self reflect on that deeper level. So if you are a person that knows that bias has nothing to do with a persons ability to be friendly or near people of marginalized communities maybe pass on this one when you are just trying to have a good time on vacation…..cause at least on of these workers might just say something seriously messed up cause she thinks you’ll agree.
Hi, my name is Jack and I am sad to say, I will not be going here and spending my hard earned money. I have been a customer every week for 5 years since I bought my wife and I bought our house across the street from them. Today, I called to make a to go order as always. The lady who took the order, took down my name and kept asking me for a "Room Number". Me, being a local, does not have a room number. As I explained, I own a home across the street and am a local. I do not have a room number. She kept insisting I give her a room number lol. After I explained to her some basic common sense, that no one named Jack, with my exact same order will be coming in Scooby's in the next 5 mins. She chose to hang the phone up and not pick up when I called back. Furthermore, in what world does someone order and pay for someone else's order of food? And how the hell would someone know what another person ordered? The employees in my opinion are too dumb to take a name down and place hot dog and fries into a bag then they are not worthy of my continued support of business. I recommend Mako's next door, their drinks are much better and the food is too, and they definitely know how to take a basic to go order over the phone. remember kids, it takes year to gain a loyal customer, and only one bad experience to lose that customer. You lost a local today.
