We waited in line at the drive thru speaker for over 20 minutes—no one in front of us and a line of cars behind us. Twice a male voice told us it would be a minute. Finally someone named Josh asked to take our order, but when we ordered we got no response. We know the speaker worked because we had seen one person use it before we pulled up. It was ridiculous. We left & drove to another McDonald’s & were through the drive thru in less than 3 minutes.
Probably the slowest McDonald’s ever. Being in Myrtle Beach you would think they would be able to handle the volume… apparently not. I enjoy eating McDonald’s on my lunch break but I can’t because this is the closest one and I never have enough time to wait. I don’t blame the employees, I blame the general manager and the district manager. Obviously they do not stress the importance of fulfilling orders in a timely manner and that’s why the employees don’t make it important… the problem starts and gets corrected at the top…. But they don’t care and that’s why this is the way it is… It’s been this way for the two years I’ve worked at the Beach, the proof that management don’t care is evident everyday whether it be the long waits, untrained employees or the employees goofing off. I hope one day they will correct these issues. I’m sure they won’t because even with the long wait they are always busy and making money. I would also like to add that almost every time I order they ask me to pull forward because they don’t want to ruin their time they are competing with other stores…every time o do pull up I wait so much longer… my order is always McDoubles… it should not take this long!If the district manager sees this review, I’m begging you to train these employees to get food out quickly. I been in the drive thru for 20 minutes and still have not reached the speaker. This sucks when you’re on a limited break
Opon walking in I experienced some rather difficulties with customer service, I was told I needed to use the kiosk and couldn't be service at the counter. Myself am a person who looks for great customers service and I get it normally but today it seem. That's, we have people who can pick and choose what they can say to a customer, how they will personally treat a person is crazy to me tbh. But with all the missed orders and verbal hostility that happened. I think the work place shouldn't have around people with this kind of attitude. Personally. The manager Hooked me up all I asked for was an upgrade to a medium fries with my order but instead he gave me double what I asked for and for the flies in the window I must still give you a 3 wanted to go down to a 2.5; but the kindness kicked in. Had the worse experience of my life. The girl taking our order at drive through, told me she wasn't talking to me when she told me there was no sprite, then asked me to repeat my order so when I did she again said we have no sprite, I replied yes I know that why I said dr pepper and you replied I am not taking to you. I then made the rest of my order and was interrupted a few times. So I repeated what I wanted. Then was informed they were out of slushes and then was told they were out of water. So no adfitional drinks were ordered. Next we were at the window waiting for our food, now it was 2 sandwiches and 10 piece nugget after 25 minutes we were instructed to pull forward. We waited another 15 minutes till someone brought my grandkids there food. After 40 minutes we pulled out and got to the hotel and one of the sandwiches wasn't even what was ordered. I honestly do not recommend this McDonalds. They staff seemed clueless to how to take an order or make food.
I placed an order on the mobile app on May 1, 2022; there was a glitch and it told me to see a team member for help. I talked to a manager and all he wanted to do was take a new order. I told him "no, my card has already been charged. Just look up my order." He tells me it's on their (the app) end and he can't do anything. I leave and call customer service first thing Monday morning (May 2). It's now Friday afternoon (May 6) and I have yet to get a refund. I've called customer service three times and they are less than helpful. They tell me all they can do is send the info to the owner's and it is up to them to get back to me. They tell me I am at the owner's mercy. This is horrible customer service! This is also theft! You took my money and did NOT provide me with a product or service. I want my refund! I placed an order in good faith and McDonald's app and staff FAILED. This is a YOU problem not a me problem.
Watched a very disturbing video on social media where recently a homeless man was eating a meal that was paid for by another generous customer in this particular McDonald's. The homeless man was rudely asked by a woman police officer to leave the premises based on a false trespassing charge. The management of this particular McDonald's also is complicit in this injustice. Fire the management of this restaurant and fire the female police officer from her policing employment!
wish I could rate it zero stars absolutely terrible. customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. we where all waiting in line to order for over 30 minutes before someone told us kiosk only. the lady doing drive through was ugly to everyone inside. order was not right. never got a receipt. then one of the other gentleman left and was just walking around helping no one. I would never recommend this place. the biscuits where hard the eggs cold. like no one took pride at all.
I would love to rate it 5 stars but the customer service is a bit bad and it’s slow, I go because it convenient to where I work but Mr. Justin is always so kind that it makes up for the other things, like today I was extremely tired, overworked and stressed and, it was hard to enjoy my break but he made up for it with his kindness. I know I can now count on him to help make my day and I would like to thank him for that, so thank you!
Don’t go here if you are in a hurry. They had a lot of people standing around, but they weren’t working. They really want you to use the kiosk, and it’s slow. The parking lot is small and the dining area is small. They really don’t want you to come in. The large drink is now $1.59, the oatmeal was $3.89. They didn’t have the oatmeal cups, or the apples, but still charged full price for a small amount. We will never return.
Stopped by before heading to work because it’s one of the few places still open at 10:30 pm. (Work 3rd shift) . I ordered chicken nugget meal with a sweet tea. The chicken wasn’t as cold as the fires , but they definitely weren’t fresh at all. The fries were old and really cold. Like I never write reviews on google but it was so nasty I had to share. I would have asked for new fries but didn’t have time to wait in the ridiculously long drive-through line because the lobby is still closed. The sweet tea was old and barely had any ice in the cup. It was seriously not good. I saw they close at 11 so I feel like this was just laziness of not sting to make fresh food before closing. But that’s not fair to customers. The dude in the window was really nice & polite but the food was trash.
