In town, driving to Florida and did one night in Myrtle Beach. STARVING from the ride from NYC, I knew I needed some comfort. And this place did not disappoint. Chicken fried to perfection, mac and cheese, and cole slaw were amazing.
One of my favorite restaurants to go to when I visit home. Must have my gizzards, in some shape, fashion, or form. ALWAYS great customer service.. greeted with smiles and ready to take your order. Love them. True childhood treasure that has stood the test of time ?
On vacation and wanted to try their food. Rode past for a few days and seen how busy it is. Read reviews and seems worth a try. I ordered 3 pc chicken dinner with Mac & cheese and potato salad as a side with a biscuit. The chicken was so good. Crispy, seasoned very well and juicy on the inside ( breast and 2 wings ) . Wasn't happy with the potato salad , extreme taste of mustard , had no other flavor other than mustard. Mac & cheese it seemed to be boxed ,not homemade as I would have thought. I even ordered an extra side . I got a regular roll instead of a biscuit ( thinking it would have been homemade) . Staff was polite and friendly . I would go back for their chicken but I'll skip the sides.
This was awesome. We ate there twice in one week! The chicken was so much better than KFC or Bojangles. Highly recommend!! Very friendly staff. From the outside it looks like a mom and pop and when you walk in you get the same feeling!
Fried okra, chicken breast, Cole slaw, potato salad, rice and gravy all delicious! So reasonably priced too. The slaw was so good we got some to take home. Chicken livers were very good but not the best I’ve ever had. Also got chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake to go and they were delicious too! Very nice staff. Loved it!
This place has some of the best gizzards I have ever eaten, so fresh & hot! The chicken is the same way, Just a little whole in the wall place, we always get it to go. Great mashed potatoes & gravy & homemade banana pudding, yum! Very nice staff members.
Me & my daughter drove to Myrtle Beach & driving by this place I noticed a lot of people coming in out so... I decided to stop in and order.The prices are reasonable I got a 3 piece with a roll for $6 they have lots of sides but I didn't order any the chicken was hot & fresh it's cooked to order it was really good and I enjoyed it!!
A local favorite. Since covid it is take out only. Best pork chops, gizzards and livers. Chicken ain't bad either. I wouldn't order the burgers. The fries are great. Popcorn shrimp isn't bad either. Staff is amazing.
Food is good. Love the gizzard. Only problem I had was. I tried calling 4 min before I got there 2x no answer. When I got there I asked if they stopped taking orders over the phone. There reply was yes as long as we are not busy. Now mind you there was only one other person when I got there 4mim after I called. If not for that it would have been more stars.
Everything tasted great. I love the cheese burgers my husband loves the chicken. We eat here whenever in MB
