My husband and I came here on a Tuesday night and didn’t have a reservation. It would be an hour wait or we could eat at the bar, so we ate at the bar. We noticed many empty tables, but found out they are short staffed. The bartender Fabiola was excellent! She attended to us quickly, was very nice and friendly, and handled all the tables in the bar area. We got the stuffed peppers for an appetizer and they were very good. I got chicken francaise and hubby got veal parm. Both came with penne pasta and a salad. Everything was delicious! Our drinks were very good too! Being from New York, it’s not easy to find a great italian place, but this is it. From the decor to the service to the excellent food, this was an excellent visit. We would definitely recommend and come back. The only other thing I’d recommend is to make reservations! Every night we drove by, the parking lot was packed.
wonderful setting, service, staff, food, and ambience! what a most wonderful dining experience … having no reservation, we chanced that we could be accommodated and we were provided a booth near the bar. the bar tender was our server and could not have provided better service. the food was great!!!! well prepared and with each course served in a leisurely manner to allow us to relax and enjoy the whole experience - not rushed and not toe-patting slow. locals and travelers were coming and going and it was obvious that some were regulars. nice to see such hospitality. all-in-all this was a real home run!
One of our favorites, the food is fantastic, as well as the service and atmosphere! Great location and easy to find.
I had the gnocchi with a special request for the house made lobster sauce and it was amazing! (Put this on the menu @lombardos!) We also had the app special- fried green tomatoes. Excellent even by southern standards! Our waitress Jana was so attentive and made our one big dinner out on our annual beach week so relaxing and enjoyable. Stop at Lombardo's for an awesome special family dinner experience. Be careful though. The bread and red pepper EVOO mix could ruin your dinner YUMM!!!!
Love Lombardo's. It was a perfect night from start to finish. The hostess with the beautiful white hair was so friendly and funny. Our server Bella was excellent as was the food. We'll be back again and again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love this place! Every year we come down to the beach and we always end our trip here. It has always been an amazing experience and one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Our server today was Jana. She was a small part of the incredible staff here, but was still amazing. I had ordered the Alfredo and others ordered racks of lamb (special), spaghetti, and the gnocchi (ask to add lobster sauce to it. It’s very good) all around an incredible experience, 5/5 stars
If you are looking for a romantic spot for dinner, then this is the place. The atmosphere is very romantic with the dimmed lighting, white tablecloths, candles on the table and all the décor throughout the restaurant. The only downside is that the tables are kind of close together. The food is so good!!! The bread is so delicious that I had to pace myself to not spoil my dinner. The Penne Ala Vodka with chicken was delicious. The sauce was so good that you're really tempted to lick the plate clean. The Lombardo’s Lasagna was also delicious. Definitely recommend the Cannoli for dessert. I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable because they do fill up fast. Definitely will be back!
Sorry but our favorite Italian restaurant has been a huge disappointment. Our past two visits were poor when it came to service. Not sure if it’s due to worker shortage or slacking management. There are too many other options to choose from when it comes to Italian cuisine in MB
We returned to Lombardo's on our recent trip to Myrtle Beach. We enjoy the menu and the service. We asked our server to take their time between courses in order to allow us to fully enjoy each course and the timing was excellent, Our server was attentive to our needs and the food delicious.
I’m coming from a server point of view so my expectations are high. That being said let’s review. It took a long time to be greeted by the server. In my mind, a part of one is just as important as a party of more than one. So waiting such a long time to be greeted at the table is absolutely unacceptable. Even I feel the manager or other servers come by to greet you, that’s good. But it was nothing for an extended period of time.Next, once the server arrived, the server did mention the specials and did a good job explaining them. The server then left the table without take a drink order. Then once the server returned, they took the drink order, the appetizer order, and the entree order all at once. I come to a restaurant to have a nicely paced out meal and not order everything all at once. Again, as a server in the restaurants that I’ve worked, specials are meant to be pushed and what the restaurant wants to serve that day. When we placing all courses together, it doesn’t really give a chance for the guest to consider the specials above the rest of the menu especially if this is the first time. Now, the courses were coming to the table in a nice pace but still felt a little rushed to finish the course before the next one comes. The food was good and the dessert was good as well. The dessert felt to me made a couple days ago and not that day. At a restaurant like this, I would expect all desserts made the same day.Moving away from the service and the food, the overall atmosphere was panicked. The owner/manager (not sure who they were) kept walking around the restaurant with the table tablet indicating to me not trusting the servers and server assistants to get table turned and let them know what table are available. This causes a wait at the door and not having someone there to welcome guests when they come in the door when there is not a need to do that.Overall, my recommendation is good food but service and atmosphere needs work. If all you want is food, fine.
