This WAS a great place. Apparently it takes 2 500 lb. guys over 15 minutes to put 2 dozen donuts in a bag. Last time, NO ONE came to the drive through. By the time I parked my car, half of MB came in before me and I saw that fritter I came for bagged and given to them. Now there is the quality of the cinnamon roll I got. It was DRY AND ONLY THE TASTE OF OLD GREASE remained. I loved that place!
I'll admit, Krispy Kreme does nothing for me and I've been a die hard Dunkin' fan for years but Dunkin has slid downhill and DONUT MAN has taken the top spot in the race for the best donuts in the world. Their GREAT flavors (red velvet, double chocolate, etc) sell out FAST. They make small batches and sell out. They're not a big place so they don't do everything like the big places. Typically the help is nice but remember....hard to get help that sticks around now-a-days. I'm a local and I find the food service employees are a crap shoot lately. If you find a place that has great help, keep going back haha. Anyway, try Donut Man. They are just wonderful.
Very rude workers. If you don’t like working the graveyard shift than work somewhere else. They have a sign at the drive through to honk for service at the drive through and they never came to the drive through window after honking multiple times and banging on the drive through window. Old lady in pink pointed her finger at us and screamed WAIT so I guess we really made her mad apparently because we were waiting to be served. They aren’t even busy and it’s bike weekend / Memorial Day weekend. My friend ended up having to go inside to place the order and there was not a single person waiting to be served in the dining room so I don’t know what they’re doing back there, certainly not serving the customers.
I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to sample a donut I was unfamiliar with. After it was placed in the microwave and tasted the warm sample! Delicious, then I ordered 1/2 dozen. I was informed about a senior citizens' discount if I was that age. Well, I told my age and got a discount! The decor was beautiful, donut atmosphere with donut designs on the table that I had to take pictures of.
Hidden Treasure with 24 hr service !! Excellent prices with outdoor seating ! Shout out to Darlene ❣ a great host for the most at 10 p.m. ....
The cinnamon sugar donut was the BEST. Highly recommend this spot if you love "old fashioned" donuts. I will say that the maple icing is a bit different from what you'd expect but still good.
This was a great experience. These doughnuts were very light and had a great flavor. They also tasted fresh. Had the strawberry with sprinkles and 2 regular glazed. The only drawback was that the glazed ones didn't seem to have much glazed on them at all. Some may prefer that but for me I would like a bit more. Still, I would go back to this place anytime
the donut man is so much more versatile than donuts. it also offers sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream, and other drinks. not only are there so many options of food but the good times and conversations are endless :,)
We visited The Donut Man Saturday and they were busy. There was a car show going on in the parking lot. They were having issues with the card payment system but the guy behind the counter handled it good. He was really nice and patient even though they was busy. I don't remember his name. We have been visiting them for years now and the donuts are always good and fresh.
Time to make the doughnuts. This is the only location in South Carolina and with no website I am not certain of the history. It has the same name as of the famed California doughnut shop, but different logo. But besides that, this fine line of bakery goods have made from scratch, made on sight taste and feel to it. With a bigger, better selection that other major chains and certainly lower prices than speciality shops, one certainly gets their money’s worth. From plain, glazed, powdered, sprinkled, filled, one has many options of doughnuts, doughnut holes, pastries, cinnamon rolls, buns and sticks. Muffins, cookies, croissants, Portuguese rolls and nearly a dozen flavors of bagels are also available. A limited menu offers combos of breakfast sandwiches and flavored coffees and espresso drinks. If one so desires to bask into the sights and smells of bakery bliss they can do so in the bright and airy sitting area. Otherwise, take it outside to the comforts of the patio or simply stay in your vehicle for the drive through.
