Visited 2 times during our stay and both times were excellent. No wait either time. Live music on the outside. Service was excellent. Ordered shrimp nachos and calamari as appetizers- both very good. Our party ordered a variety of menu items and all were good. Would definitely return here again in the future!
We love to eat at dirty Don's every time we're in myrtle. The food is always fresh and amazing. The staff is very friendly. During busy hours it can get crowded. It'll be worth the wait. Bring wet wipes cause it's gonna be dripping off your elbows. The drinks are good if your looking for that plus happy hour in the afternoon. Enjoy yourself and have dessert at the ice cream shop just a few blocks away. Love yall
Great food! They have healthy options and everything was really fresh. I got their tuna avocados and they were delicious! Oysters were fresh and large. It was a good spot for lunch and our server was great.
The huge portions, oysters was very fresh and super delicious. This place has its own charm and atmosphere. We got a coupon for free oysters for next time, lifetime long. I gave it to my friend, who were going to Myrtle Beach just few months after our visit. I love this place. If we ever coming back to Myrtle Beach we will visit this restaurant for sure. Actually it was the best oysters in my life. I remember about this place every time wen I order the oysters. Oh, the other food was delicious too. Definitely recommended!!!
We enjoyed this place. We sat on the patio and had a beer. It is a nice place to relax. Prices were reasonable. They still serve drinks even after posted closing time. I would recommend this place.
Debated 3 or 4 stars. Place is okay. Fun beach location. Shrimp Nachos would not be ordered again: chips stale and little pico on top. Oyster Po was really good w/hushpuppies. Mexican Mule came with no salted rim as described. Not bad --just not as good as we hoped
The food wasn’t that good and my family and I waited a long long time for it. A lot of the food was boring and looked gross, I wouldn’t recommend it for a nice dinner.
Dirty Don's Oyster Bar & Grill on 21st Ave is what I would describe as a classic local place right on the beaten path. The food was great! Raw Oysters, wings, basic kid grub, and most likely the best nacho platters in MBSC. My wife and I routinely split a nacho platter as an entree as simple, cheap, and less filling optiom nearly every business or pleasure trip we take. We consider ourselves amateur subject matter experts on nachos. These nachos were great! Generous amount of queso, so the platter doesn't get "dry". Plenty of other toppings. No skimping on the desired meat or fish. Checks all the boxes. Beer and booze prices and selection are solid. Now, the big seller for us. This trip was a family vacation. We had our daughter 3, and our son 7. We had been at the beach/pool ALL day and went to Dirty Don's for dinner. Every place was packed on our walk. Figured we would have a wait. Walked in, the girls working the bar immediately welcomed us with cheery and helpful faces. Told us we had about a 20 minute wait. Offered to let us sit at the bar for a bit and take a load of with the kids. Got the kids beverages and the wife and I drinks. Not but 10 minutes later we were being seated and got started ordering. The wait staff was great! Definitely took extra care to make our visit worth it. You know you enjoyed yourself and connected when you can take impromptu shots with the bar and wait staff! Service was horrible. I ordered the land and sea (steak and crab cake) and dozen oysters. The waiter mixed up my oysters with hush puppies and didn’t clarify until I asked about the oysters. The oysters tasted very disgusting and my steak was raw when I asked for my steak to be medium.
Food and service was excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Megan took great care of us! Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Ordered the oyster sampler, shrimp tacos, and the crawfish. It was all fresh and delicious! The drinks were also very good. Will definitely come back!
