The reason I'm giving a 2 star instead of a 1 is because the outdoor area & breakfast is nice. I dreaded going back to my room. I have allergies & so does my son to mold. We both sneezed, coughed & had stuffy noses in the room, not outside of it. When we checked in I called the office to tell them these issues along with a clogged sink. They came & unclogged the sink but did nothing else. I also said that the room & patio needed to be vacuumed, a house keeper knocked on my door and handed me a vacuum cleaner and said "here you go so you can vacuum" & walked away. The last time I stayed here, was in the Spring. The room was a little better in a different building. The air conditioner was broke in that room. They had to come in and change out the whole unit. When we came back from dinner, the popcorn ceiling was dropping all over my bed. Needless to say, if you don't mind an old moldy room, the outside is nice. I don't think ill be returning, if they have a newer or remodeled building...stay there. The issues I had this time was in the Shrooner building. When I did talk to the office, I asked if another room in that building would be a little better for us, she said "probably not".
Room needed updates and cleaning. The smell of the room was bothering. We struggled finding our room, additional signs or better map explanation at check in would have helped. The pools were nice and the access to the beach was a plus.
Great Weekend Getaway for the kiddos! It was my sons 9th birthday and we have a 2 year old. Having a room nearby for the little one to nap was very convenient. The beachfront access made everything a breeze as well
They need a MUCH larger check-in area... line was out the door and very slow.. Employees were nice, once I finally got to the desk... Room was clean but the air unit was so loud, it was hard to sleep... Unfortunately, I probably would not stay here again.
Rooms weren’t clean it was clear no effort was put into updating them. Found clumps of hair on floor upon arrival. Stained and dirty tub made us all feel gross using the shower. We wore flip flops. Confusion at check in left us taking 2 extra hours to move our stuff in and get everything straightened out. Were not told about housekeeping adjustments upon arrival, so we didn’t have towels. Found hair in the food. Pools were all very small and not clean. No way (that we were told) to use the beach chairs. Some outlets didn’t work in the room. Nice to be right on the beach, but the rooms/resort didn’t feel clean at all.
checking in was a nightmare waited over an hour in line packed in like cattle just to be told room was not ready and would have to come back to get keys room finally ready about an hour later. what’s the point of a reservation if the rooms aren’t going to be ready at checkin time 4pm
This is as the worst stay the hotel needs a up grade the paint is peeling off the walls floors dirty the roaches was ridiculous never again and the front desk could care less about the bugs never again will I stay here
Always relaxing and very family oriented. Far enough from the main pavilion. Great place to vacation with your family. The Crows Nest has good food and the Tiki Hut was also good. Staff was extremely friendly.
The place was in a good location, it has a lot of pools and a variety of activities. The only down side is some of the furniture was dirty and the room was dated. Parking was plentiful, buffet was good, used the free passes. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I would say this is a great place for families. We stayed in the Pinnacle Building. Our room was clean, but could use an update. The variety of pools was awesome and kept the kids entertained. The water slides were fun for all of us. Great location in the heart of Myrtle Beach and beach access was perfect. You can not bring a pop-up tent to the beach, which we did not know. We ate at each place and it was fine. Nice to have a coffee shop located right there. We got there about 1 and were able to check in. Our room wasn't ready which we knew would happen, but 3 hours later we still hadn't heard from them. We called around 4:30 and they said our room was ready. You wear a wrist band to have pool access. My son lost his and it was no problem to get a new one. Check out is simple as you just have to put your wrist bands in a box. Would recommend for families.
