Always a great Sunday brunch! Lots to choose from. Very friendly staff.
We have been here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The only negative for this particular visit is that I mentioned on making the reservation that it was our anniversary and there was no mention of it by the restaurant. No worries - we will be back.
Attractive, quiet dining room with great view of small lake. Our waiter was very pleasant and professional. Food was a good value and among the very best I've had at Myrtle Beach in the more than 50 years we've been coming here. We will definitely return on our next visit.
Something for everyone here, including some small plates, reasonably priced, and a bonus view of the lake critter inhabitants. Good value, as most mains come with a nice salad, muffins, starch, and vegetables. Suggest go early (make reservation), for best chance of getting a window table.
Vacation in Myrtle beach with the family! Lovely atmosphere & dining features!
What a great place for dinner. Beautiful pond views of waterfowl and turtles. Exceptional food starting with cheese biscuits and bite size muffins. Excellent homemade salad dressing. Entrees were delicious. Try the Shrimper's platter. Great and friendly staff.
Chestnut Hill delicious biscuits and muffins for starters. The view of the lake adds to the overall ambiance of the dining area. Food was very tasty and service was very good.
We thoroughly enjoyed dining here. Scarlett, our waitress, was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. We took our young kids outside to see the gators and turtles while we waited (just a short time) for our food. I didn't get his name, but the gentleman at the front brought out biscuits for the kids to feed the gators which they just loved and he told us all about them and was just very kind. The food was absolutely delicious. I found the restaurant from a Google search for shrimp and grits and they did not disappoint! We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Myrtle Beach!
We tried this restaurant for the first time based on good reviews. When we arrived, it looked like an older restaurant in decent condition. We were seated and immediately noticed the stained ceiling tiles from leaks. Our waiter came quickly to offer us drinks, as well as telling us about the specials rapid-fire. When he returned with our drinks, and bread basket, we ordered the mixed grill and the shrimp creole. Both came with dinner salads, as well as potatoes and vegetables. When dinner was served, we knew we were in trouble. I ordered the mixed grill, which was said to be Atlantic salmon, shrimp and scallops. Everything was overcooked and dry. My husband had the shrimp creole, which had no resemblance to actual creole, and instead was dry shrimp over wild rice with bland tomato sauce. A true creole sauce should be bursting with flavor with tomatoes, celery, colorful bell peppers, onions, garlic, seasonings and herbs. We both took a few bites and left the rest. When our waiter came to clear the table, he asked if we wanted to box our leftovers, which we declined. Instead of asking if everything was ok, he cleared the table and brought the check, which had an extra item on it. When we pointed it out, he did remove it mumbling it was a mistake. The mistake was us dining at Chestnut Hill, which is overpriced ($98 before the tip) and not deserving of more than 1 - 2 stars.
Went to Chestnut Hill Restaurant tonight for dinner. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was excellent. The meal coming with cheesy biscuits and mini blueberry muffins was incredible. Meal also came a super salad, it had great toppings and many homemade dressing options. 6/5 stars definitely.
