I've discovered my love of crab legs here! Captain George's is a top notch seafood place! I little pricey at $112 for two of us but food and service were totally worth it.
I come here every time I come to the beach. They never miss. The crab legs are seasoned so well alone, but even better with the reddish seasoned butter. I admit I go mainly for the crab legs but everything else I have tried was great as well. They had a cinnamon roll cake dessert that was out of this world. Pro tip: go EARLY! Like as soon as the doors open, it gets crowded extremely fast and that could put a damper on your experience but the food is still worth the wait in my opinion.
My 1st visit to this restaurant. The wait time was 40-50 minutes on A Tuesday @7:08pm. The place is huge and very very busy. My party had 6 adults and 1 child($392 +$50 tip).There’s a verity of food which was constantly being refreshed. They must have at least 100 staff members, because there was always someone refreshing our drinks and cleaning off our table. Try the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and crab legs. And if you want to get a good buzz, try the Painkiller drink. Nothing but alcohol!!!!!!I gave 4 stars because our hostess was in a bad mood I’m guessing and she just walked away as my daughter in law was speaking to her.
Its not a vacation in MB unless we visit Captain Georges. We were seated fast our waitress was friendly and very fast with keeping the drinks filled. The buffet is always just as we remember, kept full and fresh.The main event is always the crab legs and again they never disappoint. They were hot, plentiful and absolutely delicious.We are already looking forward to our next vacation here.
If you love seafood and buffets this is an excellent place. I was costly in my opinion but for all the food they have to choose from, it was fair. It was a good experience one time, don't plan to go back.
This was my first time at the restaurant and let me tell you the service from the greetings to checkout was top notch ?. The staff is constantly checking on your table to make sure your drinks are refilled, the used plates and the bucket for disposed shells are removed from your table. The food variety is awesome and most of all the restaurant and restrooms are clean.Perfect place for 2 or a party! There was no wait time and the experience you receive will NOT let you down!
Greatly appreciated the work staff, our server Daniel E was friendly and went above and beyond in making sure we had a pleasurable experience. Food was delicious, a vast amount of buffet options. Enjoyed our meal and dining experience !
Huge range of food to choose from. Regular staples of macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, etc. to excellent crab legs, a few different types of fish and seafood-type dishes such as deviled crab. Excellent! Highly recommend this for a couples dinner out as the price is $50 per person.
Some of the food on the bar was actually spoiled. Other just tasted bad. Crab legs were cold and brown. Waiters informed us they can't keep kitchen staff so nobody is trained. Management couldn't care less. They are making a ton of money on tourist and quality is unimportant. No concern or compensation for bad food.
Our first time at Captian George's definitely not our last. Molly was a great waitress. We never waited for anything. Always fresh drinks or anything that we needed. The buffet had 150 different items but the crablegs were the best hot and delicious ! A must place to go when near Kittyhawk NC.
