The cashier that place my order 30 to 45 minutes ago was hardworking, considerate, and professional. I think her name was Juliette but she had red hair or strawberry blonde. If any of our Charlotte family or friends decides to go grab a bite to eat at Myrtle Beach for seafood. And it's not as crowded which is a positive thing. I can actually have dinner and still engaging with you.
OMG avoid this if at all possible! Dining room closed even to go in and order and leave. The wait in line was almost 25 mins, ridiculous! Next was the quality of food... usually I like the fish, this time it didn't even look like the traditional fish and tasted different, very greasy! The fries were so dry I damn near choked trying to eat them. The Mac and cheese tasted good but was concerned when I could pick it up as a single ball of food. Will not return for awhile, and if this happens again won't return ever.
Customer service is obviously not a priority! The food, as always, is excellent but the manager on the drive thru window and the cook today (I think he may also be the owner) need to learn people skills! Part of my order was a lobster roll combo. He repeated back as a large sandwich combo and said that was what I had said. My SON was in the car with me and heard me order the lobster roll combo. He repeated back my son's drink wrong at least twice. We get to the window and he proceeds to call us ladies 4 times! I corrected him the first time and said that's my son, not a lady! Twice more he said ladies! We decided to ck the food before leaving the window since the last 5 times our order was wrong. The cook comes over and asks if anything is wrong. I tell him we're just checking to make sure our order is correct (it was an expensive order).He says it's all correct, have a nice day! It wasn't so much what he said, as the time of voice he used, implying we're holding up the line. We drove out of our way to go there! They need the lovely lady that used to be on the window to come back. She was friendly and helpful and knew how to treat customers. We won't be back, not because of the food, but because of the 2 employees working today!
Last week I had house guest from Texas on a previous visit we had Captain D's so we thought we would try it again. Everyone in the party order fish & shirimp combo's everyone received Chicken because we got our food to go we choose not to make the drive back from Murrells Inlet. Very disappointed not surprised Captain Ds ' is almost extinct
The Food was very fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will visit again and recommend highly.
I always liked Captain D's. Food is good but prices are stupid high now and this local one no longer takes coupons of any kind, not even corporate ones. 2 piece fish and fries are now over 8.00 and it used to be 2.99 to 3.99. we are at the ocean so I don't entertain excuses on why it's so high now. I can get a fresh seafood dinner for less than what they change for just fish and fries. I have eaten at this one for over 30 years, well that has come to an immediate end.
Drive thru only, I get it with all the employment issues. But it took 57mins from the the time we ordered to getting our food. If the kids had not wanted those funnel cake sticks, we would not have waited. The food was hot and fresh though. I feel bad for the employees that are actually there.
So, whom is to blame for my review score. Captain D's or management? After my daily spending all day trying to figure out what to eat, I decided to go to my ole favorite Captain D's. Pulled up to the drive through, spent my 10 minutes, j/k, deciding what to eat. Went to order, and then!!!Closed (sad face, sad face, sad face)Sunday - Thursday 10:30 a m.- 4:00 p.m.Wow.Just a heads up
Excellent food and very friendly atmosphere. The employees were not helpful but very accommodating. They made for a great dining experience.
Very nice folks didn't like it because you could not eat in lots of food for the price will go back when dining room opens up
