Great little hole-in-the-wall diner. Food is perfect after a day at the beach. You can’t go wrong with their burger and fries with some ice cream for dessert. Service is quick and prices aren’t bad at all. We’ll definitely be going back!
Burky’s is the best local diner. They have a 50’s diner theme, which is super cool. The beef is juicy and tender, and a local favorite, fried baloney sandwiches. The ice cream is smooth and creamy, and they have swirl and dipped ice cream ?. Whether you're in the mood for a classic burger and fries or something a little more adventurous, Burky’s has you covered.
They were fantastic for years. Unfortunately it's not like that anymore. The last 4 times I've been. The dining room is a mess. Where you prepare your drinks and get napkins is a disaster. Plus where's Wayne at? I haven't seen him in over 3 years. The only reason I've went back is because I was so loyal to him. I know they're fast but that's how my orders got screwed up. I think they need to hire more sincere employees instead of just anybody. That guy with dreads needs to clean himself up. And for God sake clean that dining room.
I am the Public Relations Officer for Phantom Custom Car and Truck Club out of Burlington, NC. Mr Burkart allowed us to have our 1st annual car show at his establishment and we are forever grateful. We truly enjoyed the food, it was outstanding. We would like to try to make this an annual event to host our shows. The hospitality shown by the owner as well as the staff was astronomical. I recommend that everyone try the best hot dogs, hamburgers, and chili cheese fries in Myrtle Beach. Yhey have certificates on the wall stating that they are the best by popular demand. The chili is cheese fries were so good that my granddaughter ate hers even after they were cold. Lol.
Got to the drive thru 1 min before opening. I don't mind waiting, after all, it's Burky's. When they opened, I placed my order and pulled around. The woman at the window was not rude, but not friendly either. I still put a dollar in the tip jar b/c I know it's a tough job. Apparently, it's a REALLY tough job to get my order right, because it was not even close! Fries were as good as ever! Hamburger was icky and the bun was dried up and OLD. Big disappointment!!!!
Burky's is an old-fashioned hamburger/hot dog grill that serves burgers and hot dogs and fries the way they should be. Excellent food, shakes and beverages. You've got to treat yourself to this place. Fast service and drive-thru!!!
Great dogs, great burgers and an unexpected bonus -- Cincinnati Chili.I ordered a hot dog with chili, mustard, onions and slaw. That should pinpoint my state pretty easily. (North Carolina)The hot dog was flavorful and juicy; the chili was outstanding. The weakest link was the slaw. A little coarse for a hot dog topping, and I suspect it may have been purchased in a plastic tub. The mustard, onions and chili helped it along.Our fries were hot and crisp, and the Cincinnati Chili was very good.I ordered the chili bowl three way and added beans and onions. It came with a packet of Texas Pete hot sauce - a nice touch.Our food came out hot and fast, and it was a very satisfying lunch.
Cute 50s diner style fast food concept, but the food is not good. Big disappointment. I won't eat here again
Food is always tasty and fresh.
They only get three stars because the cheeseburger patty was thin, dry, and not hot enough to melt the cold cheese slice. Due to the chill in the air in the dining room, the fries though served hot, cooled quickly as well. Lastly, the hot dog bun was cold too.The condiments and toppings were great.
