Food was very delicious and portions were fine. The fried chicken portion was amazing, probably good for 2! The grilled salmon tasted better than many other places at Myrtle Beach. They said most things were halal but would like more clear verification on this since it wasn't stated anywhere.
It was a very special occasion when my boyfriend treated me to the famous Bosphorus Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC.Upon entering this approximately dozen-tabled restaurant, many happy looking folks were stuffing their faces with delicious looking & smelling Türkish goodies…Meats, breads & magnificent spreads...we even forgot to take fotos of the food, we dug right in!We ordered the Meat Mix Platter which feeds 3, for $45…rice pilaf was buttery & good consistency…beef kebob & lamb adana kabob were super fresh & mildly seasoned with the traditional, clean flavors found in Türkish cuisine. The falafel was decent because it was fresh, but the flat consistency made it taste more dry than the usual circular style preparation, more commonly found. It was all served with warm pita bread & a mild-flavored fresh tzataki yogurt sauce. The best thing about the food is that it wasn't salty, nor was it seasoned with meat tenderizer (?msg?)...it was definitely cooked with love & care for health & quality - excellent - fresh…these people know what they're doing in the kitchen…BRAVO!!!Our waitress Şariae was very welcoming, sweet & engaging…we asked for an extra order of the MUHAMMARA…(red pepper/walnut spread) it was so delicious, plus it was loads of fun watching my boyfriend sweat from the heat - he said he could feel his lungs open up more…but i promise, it isn't that spicy…a must try at Bosphorus Grill - genuine Türkish cuisine in Myrtle Beach…& do not forget the dessert…chocolate & traditional baklava, with some Türk kahvesi & a little piece of lokum…afiyet olsun!Service & food were excellent...looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you & God bless.
The wife & I were looking for something different so going on an ad we heard on the radio we tried the Bosphorus Grill. We’ve never ate Turkish cuisine before so didn’t know what to expect.A diner type of setting, and everyone there that we had contact with was real nice. Some language barrier stumbles on my part. They didn’t have the Turkish beer (bummer for me). And we ordered within our comfort zone. The food was seasoned great! The meat was cooked to perfection (which is saying a lot since my wife is a little more particular about the done ness of the meat she orders). Portion size was adequate. We also shared the chocolate baklava which was fantastic.I’d go back, and probably will, but I don’t know enough of that cuisine to explore the menu as I would like to do.
It was our first time and we loved it. The trio apps or try 5 apps is they way to go for sure. We also tried a beef skewer wrap. Next time going to go just to try homemade tiramisu! We loved the Turkish tea as well❣
Food was fantastic and our server was friendly and very helpful. The tiaramisu was the nest I've ever had. Indoor and outdoor dining options are available.
I have tried many Turkish restaurants across US. From San Francisco, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh etc and thus far, this “Bosphorus, at Myrtle Beach, is the best authentic Turkish cuisine with excellent staff. Food is awesome.
A few restaurants that should deserved more than 5 stars and this restaurant would have been one of them. The meat is so tasty and tender. They are perfect to my taste. However, why only four stars? Well, I asked for water and was given 2 bottles. I have been to restaurants that given out free bottle instead of tap water. Now you know why only four stars. From the bill, the bottle is two dollars each. The supermarket is next store, a bottle costs 25 cents, and that is 700% mark up, then tax and gratuity.
Been here twice now. We’re glad we found this place. Their way of cooking and seasoning produces delicious meals unlike anything else we’ve had in years. The beef, chicken, lamb and rice are mouth watering good. This not an over-hyped tourist magnet, kind of hidden in the Food Lion strip mall. When’s the last time the chef/owner came to your table to ask how everything tasted?
Food is so fresh and light. Everyone was so kind. Never had food like this but I was very impressed. We tried the appetizer platter with the eggplant, hummus and tazhiki (probably spelling wrong). Lamb chops and shrimp were also amazing. There was not one item was bad. I hope this place stays open!!
The food was so good. We got the salmon, chicken sandwich, beef gyro, beef kabobs, meat balls, and the burger. Everything was great. Family favorite was the beef gyros. The meet was so flavorful and tasty. We are very happy with the choices we made. We will definitely be back!
