The food was really good. We had the Firecracker shrimp, shrimp nachos, regular burger, and the burger with a fried egg. All of it was really good. The service, however, was not good. Our waitress was tentative up until our food arrived. It was downhill from there. She offered me a refill of tea and it never arrived, despite a few trips back to our table. She literally disappeared to in the back for 14 minutes (we timed it). She finally brought our bill and a box but after what seem like forever we left cash on the table that covered the bill but didn't leave much of a tip. I would have left more if she had come to get my credit card but she wouldn't come to the table. My son even tried to walk it over to her but she greeted another table and took their order. The other waitresses seemed to be fine.
A group of us were on vacation. It is really hard to find someplace good when you are so unfamiliar with an area. We really enjoyed the food. There was a whole lot of "taste this" and "try this" going on. I had the duck blt. I was really surprised it how much difference the duck made. My daughter had any egg roll that was amazing! And they honey green beans? Can I please have the recipe? If I am ever in Myrtle Beach again, I will return to the Boathouse!

I had smoked and grilled wings with Old Bay and Duck BLT. Wings were excellent crispy on the outside while moist and tender inside. The duck was fabulous, cooked perfectly, moist and tender. Wife ordered some kind of egg rolls, salad and chicken bog balls. Salad was large. She really liked the egg rolls. She enjoyed the bog balls but I would not order again. First time here but not the last.
Great atmosphere and great food Waitress was wonderful
First off I came back the following week, so becoming a regular is pretty easy here. Secondly the live music is great because they are always switching it up. It's Right by the River so bring a light jacket for when the sun goes down. Great people, great food, no dress code and no drama. Sunday Funday, definitely the place to be. Good for the family as well. During the day.
Looked promising with the outdoor seating and nice waterway views but we were never waited on after sitting for 15+ minutes. We understand staffing shortages but we were never acknowledged; just tell us you will be with us in a minute. We saw other parties waited on when they arrived after us and that is just unacceptable.
WE were invited to an Atty function thanking all the Realtors and Clients. The Boathouse provided delicious hors d'oeuvres, chicken strips, meatballs, vegetables, fruits etc. The cocktail waitress was always around and refilled efficiently with a smile. The owner even came by and checked on us to see if all was well. Very friendly and plenty of room for big gatherings or just you and the family. Sports Bar feel with restaurant atmosphere. Plenty of TV's to watch your favorite sports on. Three Cheers to the staff and space. We had a great time.
