They gave me a different room upon arrival and it was outdated and smelled bad.I traveled 5hours to get something I didn’t sign for. They most have gave it to someone who arrived before me but I had a reservation set 2 weeks prior.. only thing she said you gotta book way ahead from 2weeks to get a good room . My babies 1& 3 was sleeping at the time I arrived there 3am thank God I was able to get in next door to Dunes resort with great customer services and room ready with a big ocean front and inside fun things to do for the kids. God is wonderful he worked it out so well. Beach Colony resort I would like to be reimbursed for my reservation fee of $174.
Just checked out today and had a nice stay. Last minute trip to the beach for the week, no reservations so just stopped at a few place and had rude ppl at every place. But when we stopped hear we were greeted by a young man named Berry that could have not been any nicer and welcoming. He was busy but still had a great attitude and even offered for us to take a look at the room first. It definitely makes a big difference when the first person you meet has such a good attitude. Nice ocean view and like that the bedroom was open to view the ocean. Quiet and relaxing!
I booked for Jan. and Feb. of 2022. My first two weeks I had to look sten to chipping hammers and other power tools while a major renovation was done a few doors down. This went on from early morning until early evening. The management could have cared less. The first floor looks okay but this place needs work. The automatic sliding doors to get into the hotel have not worked for 6 weeks now so you have to empty your hands and try to slide them by hand. They could care less. The maid service was horible even though I tipped generously. I'm tired of slamming doors, and the loud staff. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone . They also had a bedbug problem on the 8th floor. This place was a poor choice.
Friendly efficient staff. Dated property but very popular oceanfront resort. Great location. ????Dogs allowed for owners only. ?Laundry facility on property.Many amenities incl. Restaurant. ?
Fun place to stay, the rooms were clean and friendly staff. The only thing I would like is if they had a second indoor pool for the winter season since the one pool was always crowded. Easy access to the beach and everything you needed to cook was in the room. I will definitely stay there again.
We rented for a month through a realtor. Our 2 bedroom condo was very nice with a wonderful view. Everywhere within the resort was well kept. Like someone else mentioned, the parking for full size vehicles is crazy. Not the Beach Colony's fault. Owners of smaller vehicles were parking in the spots meant for bigger vehicles. All of the staff we interacted with were all very friendly. The parking is the one reason I didn't give them 5 stars.
The Beach Colony Resort is older, but VERY well kept and clean! The front desk staff were extremely nice. The grounds are very well taken care of and the landscaping is beautiful!! You could definitely tell that this resort was top notch back in the day and is still super nice even now!We had no issues what so ever and would definitely stay here again!!❤
Great place to stay! Walk out to the beach, there are multiple swimming pools and hot tubs! So relaxing!!! Had a great night life with Courtney at the bar. She was the best bar tender! Had a blast. Will definitely go again.
The location of the resort is good and the staff worked hard to keep the report clean, but that is the extent of what was good about the stay.The room my family and I were in was in very very bad shape. Old grungy flooring, the seats at the kitchen table were ripped, the couch was considerably old and worn, two of the stove burners were bent and wouldn't function, one of the bathrooms towel hangers was falling off with exposed screws to name a few of the issues. Certainly not a space we felt comfortable in especially having an active 1 year old.I was there with several friends who had different rooms. Of the total 6 rooms we had only 1 that was in good condition.Considering only 1/6 of the rooms we saw were in good condition; I would not recommend this resort for families who are looking for a nice, safe and comfortable space for their stay.
The service was ok because the front desk staff did help us to find a better room when we checked in. The first room, the couch and carpet was really dirty and so dated, we had to walk out because of that. When we used the phone in the room to call the front desk, had buttons missing and looked like an old hotel phone that they purchased at a salvage, the front desk gave use keys to look at 2 other rooms. We had to settle for the best or the worst. They really need to updated, no work has been done to update the security, the doors are hard to close. The bathroom really need to be updated, at least have the toilet to function correctly. Don’t think you will sleep good in the beds, very lumpy and our back are killing us. The pull out couch was a full size pull out but they gave you twin size sheets.The sad part is that, we’ve stayed here in the past and at first, it was good. We stayed away from here about 3 years because our last experience was really bad. We decided to give them another chance, it WILL NOT happen again. They really have to show they’ve done Renovations.Stay at you own risk, no way worth the $800+
