Very good experience at the 8th Avenue tiki bar. The atmosphere is laid back and you seat yourself and we were still greeted in a timely manner. We had the schnitzel appetizer and it was worth the $15. We also got bbq sandwiches with pulled pork and brisket and were both delicious. I didn’t get any of the cocktails but they all seemed good!
Atmosphere was fun, the beer was cold, but the staff was extremely rude.There was the woman with the shaved sides and back of her hair that rolled her eyes and threw her hands up after she yelled “three!” while we were mid conversation and had been waiting 15 minutes for anyone to help us. It was definitely not a question so we all just looked at her not knowing what she was going to say or if there was more.Then the taller, full figured woman behind the bar that was rude to anyone who came in and waited to be seated. She kept snapping at people who were waiting to be seated—there was not a sign that said to seat yourself, we went back and checked before deciding to leave a review.Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. I wish I had caught names to better help management understand who was doing a good job but we were just stopping by to grab a beer on our first night of vacation. Maybe you’ll have better luck if you’re going in for lunch.
So Tuesday night, seemed to be busy in the outside area but pretty empty inside. First of all you seat yourself. Nobody greated us or guided, considering there are a lot of tourists I'd think they would have someone to help. Place looks great. However, and Im not complaining about the time of waiting since I saw the people there working and busy. By the time someone came to the table we pretty much had everything ready to order and we did. Right after we asked to have the order to go, we had to leave town and figured it would be easier for the servers that was busy outside. My surprise when I get the check was that 18% gratuity was INCLUDED in the bill and I was shocked because Im a server and that's not fair unless it is a party of 6+ or there was a special event but for a party of 2?I asked the server why was it included already and he couldn't explain it to me. I paid but my intention was to leave him at least $10-15 because I knew with us leaving it would have been a waste of his time for "the few minutes he came to the table and took care of us". Maybe the take out presentation of the food isn't the best but honestly thats is NOT a $50 meal. NEVER AGAIN
Lemom pepper wings and sweet potato fries were delicious. Friendly staff..outside seating was nice hot but nice lol!
We stopped in to grab some pina colads. The drinks were very good. While there, we decided to oder some food to go. The food and drinks took a long time to come out. The fries were room temperature and soggy. The burger looked ok. The place was not full at the time so I'm not sure what the delay was. We didn't send the food back we just took it and left.
Came here for Father’s Day Weekend. Food was ok, nothing to get excited about. We ordered wings, fries, MahiMahi sandwich,and the chicken spring rolls for an appetizer and lemonade. When the bill came it was over $130.00, which included gratuity. There were only 3 of us in our party. No warning or anything about this. I can see if we had about 7 or 8 people in our party. On top of that the service was terrible! We had to ask another server to tell our server that we needed refills. Then she didn’t come for another 10 minutes. But she came pronto, when it was time to give us the bill.When asked about the gratuity she said that they add it in automatically. Had we known this we would not have even went there. Our first choices of options were closed(Banditos and Epic Arcade Restaurant) Felt very cheated by the gratuity practice.
We ate here on numerous occasions and the food and staff were amazing! If you go be sure to ask for Dean's Cream, it's a shot that tastes just like angel food cake and it is delicious.
My children and I ate here for the first time ever and we live here. I can't say how amazing the food was because it superseded that. I have not had a good burger in a very long time but tonight I ate so much I kept eating more it was that good. The food came out very quickly, as well as the drinks and appetizers. Much quicker than I have seen in my lifetime! I wish I could remember the server's name but he was very knowledgeable questions I asked and extremely nice. Instead of giving this place two thumbs up I give it five stars!
