Absolutely incredible food!We found this place kinda just checking out the area, and it was a great experience. The shrimp and grits is just like grandma used to make. The views are beautiful being along the marsh walk. There was live music while we were there, and he was pretty good too. So yourself a favor and get a plate full, you'll love it.
For the price we expected a lot more. Food was ok but not awesome. Service was ok...the wait was horrible. An hour and 40 minutes to get our meal. 30 minutes to get our cocktails. We had a split. Heck..2 on 1 and 4 on another and were charge gratuity on our bill. We woukd not of left a gratuity of that much as the service was not as expected. The resteraunt has a great location but is dated. There are better options on the walk for less $$$
We had to wait an hour on a Thursday night for a family of 10. Wasn't too bad. Food is good here but a little on the pricey side. Very nice inside area with very good AC. Also have an outdoor area with a live band. There also was a nice fellow making balloon animals for a small donation (not required) and the kids loved it. The drinks were not strong but you can always ask for a floater to strengthen it up. Son got the crab legs appetizer they had as a special for $25 and there was plenty of crab for him. I got the swordfish with lump crab on top with the hollandaise sauce on top with mash pot and green beans. Very good. Wife got the fried oysters and they were pretty good size. Kids got the fish platters and there was plenty of food. Would def come back. If you enjoyed this review please be sure to click the like button.
Our family enjoyed a great dinner at Wahoos. We wanted authentic area seafood and we got it! The service provided by Chloe (Chants Up!) was amazing! See pictures for a look at the menu and the dishes. When we visit Myrtle Beach, Wahoos is a must stop. Highly recommended.
We ended up at Wahoo’s by happenstance because the restaurant next door had too long of a wait to manage with our 2 year old. We are glad we ended up here!We were seated in 10 mins and they brought fresh hush puppies as soon as we sat down—as a mom with a young kiddo this was much appreciated! We were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of the food but we highly recommend the crab dip, my husband enjoyed his shrimp and grits, my friend enjoyed her fried flounder and I enjoyed my fried platter of flounder, shrimp, deviled crab, and oysters. The portions of the fried flounder were HUGE. I anticipated a small piece with my meal since I had other items but both the portions for myself and my friend were roughly the size of a whole fish! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, especially the lanterns or whatever the sea creatures were. We will definitely be visiting again!
Went here for a birthday and it was everything I wanted. Seafood and sushi was fantastic, great service in a beautiful waterfront setting, happy hour and music on the deck, great sea themed ambience inside and delicious desserts!
We went with a couple who wanted to eat dinner in the bar area t o enjoy the music. it was fairly rustic and service was fair. We ordered the blackened seafood platter to split along with a side salad. The side salad was huge, more like an entree and was good. The platter had a huge piece of fish that was good and under it were shrimp and there was one of those crabs. Apart from the frish, i can't say it was a lot. There was a small bathroom in the bar area which seemed occupied most of the time, so I ventured into the main restaurant which was very different, far more formal and nice. I would recommend eating there rather than the bar.
Enjoyed a great meal here with friends and family. Food is what you'd expect for Murrel's Inlet - good, fresh seafood. The variety and quality of sushi rolls was a surprise. Excellent, tasty sauces on the rolls. Grumpy roll has a variety of fish and steak on it, too. Give it a try. Enjoy.
Went in for a late lunch and sat in the bar area. Bartender took my order and was very polite. Ordered the oyster rockefeller. It was just average. Received check and paid bill. Second bartender arrived and was a jerk to first bartender and complained about how slack he was to his face, mind you in front of a customer, and how he checked behind him and the register was short. He boasted how "He" was the best bartender this restaurant had ever had. Guess that's why he was an older guy and still only a bartender. I had had enough of him, finished my appetizer and just left. No reason to return.
If you visit later in the day, there is a live musical band. The evening atmosphere is much more adult oriented than during the day. And the best part, dogs are allowed!
