The best dining experience my family has had EVER. The waitress/server was amazing. The food was awesome. The prices were great and they even provided a military discount with a very genuine heartfelt gratefulness for service. I wish this place was closer to home as we would probably go often, but as a stop on our way home from vacation this was an excellent ending.
The workers were so kind, and friendly. Feels like home, the decor is like visiting an older relatives house. The breakfast was tasty!
This is a very good locally owned restaurant. The food was good and there’s a large variety of entrées available. It appears that breakfast is what they are known for however they do offer an extensive lunch menu.
In the past few years this was our favorite breakfast restaurant. However on this visit we found the quality and quantity of food to be much less than in the past. Country ham slice was small, very thin and salty. My serving of city ham was 1/4” thick and about 2”x 3.5” in size. The prices seemed to be the same but quantities are noticeably less.
We came for the gyros, but we’re sadly disappointed. They are not very big and you may want to request extra tzatziki sauce. However they have homemade blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing, and that totally saved the day.
I've been coming to Spring House for yearsNever have I been treated so poorly as todayWe are locals and were talked to so obnoxiously, it made for unnecessary stress. The meat was overcooked, tough and too hard to chew. I felt like I was eating a strip of jerky. When I politely asked if this is how it normally is prepared, I was told "yes" and "everyone knows this", although I obviously didn't (and this was said by the owner who wasn't even part of the conversation)Whether I should have known is not the point. Not everyone is from here and would know southern cooking....we each were unable to eat it.I was spoken down to rudely and nowI have agita after what should have been a relaxing meal but turned out to be a not so happy birthday meal.Additionally, we were entitled to a senior discount but we were denied because we were using a gift card for a birthday meal.Another problem of theirs that was made to be ours. There was no interest on their part to make things better for us.I didn't expect this from them at all...zero customer service.I see that the owner does not respond to reviews either good or bad, so I will not expect a response here but perhaps she will at the BBB and perhaps she will one day start to appreciate her long time customers.

TripAdvisor reviews are a plus when visiting an area. We happened upon Spring House for lunch based on your opinions. Yes, it was a little old fashioned, but that lended to the charm. We were greeted so warmly and seated right away. Lots of selections to choose from. We decided on soup, stuffed cabbage and grilled chicken with potato salad. Veggies and cornbread came with each. Everything was homemade and you could tell. SO good! We even got banana pudding included in my meal. It was more than enough for both of us. The crazy part though…all of this was only $21!! Awesome service made for a good meal too.
Vast improvement over a few years back! Glad to be back eating with you again Spring House!A few years back I walked away from the Spring House as a regular as portions were getting smaller and smaller so its been a few years that I have been away. This visit I was looking at a huge expanded menu and the food portions were now huge and tasty! very tasty!I have this thing about any restaurant, I'll pay your price but if you try and save a dime with portion control you will loose me as a customer. I just can't eat and pay and still be hungry! I am so glad to see improvements in food choices and I was able to eat and truly enjoyed my lunch! Thanks Spring House ,Also, service was great too! I will now be back!
My husband and I have breakfast there and it's always good. The wait staff is so friendly. We also love the bird named Charlie who is just like our Cockateil who died a few years ago. Love the decor, just really comfy.
