Wish I could provide more stars. My wife and I came here on the recommendation of my sister. We got seated very quickly and was served hush puppies. We ordered our food and then waited over 45 minutes for our food. We are very patient but when you spend $108 bucks for dinner, you don't want to wait that long. I'm gonna blame our waitress, Jordan. She is the go between kitchen and our table. Was so full on hush puppies our food didn't get eaten. Very disappointed and we will not come here again.
Do not recommend. Went there yesterday 7/20/22 with the family. We read the reviews and still gave them a chance, however the negative reviews were all 100% true. The only good food is the hush puppies they were DELICIOUS. However everything else not good. Meals were not horrible but it was not great either. My fiance ordered sautéed shrimp, they just dumped a plate full of unseasoned shrimp on her plate, nothing else on the plate. It was actually laughable. You don't leave saying wow that food was good. Food is bland, basic and no care in food presentation. We ordered two soups one came out steaming hot the other barely lukewarm, I had to send it back.The hush puppies and our waiter was the best part. This restaurant needs to put some more seasoning and love into their food.
We ate there last night. It was nice, on the water. The staff was great. Our waitress was Buchannan and she was awesome. The food was and drinks were delicious and the price very reasonable to us. Will be back!
I am from Birmingham, AL where world renowned chefs are a dime a dozen. I do NOT recommend Sara J’s unless you want great service and amazing seafood. If that’s what you’re into this is the place for you. Seems like a place the locals go, and if not they’re missing out. The stuffed crab, flounder, shrimp & grits, fried oysters, and even the salads were all delicious. Too stuffed to try the key lime pie but I’m sure it is great as well.
We stumbled on Sara J’s as we were exploring the area. We have just moved here and now live in Conway. We absolutely loved this place. We both had fried grouper and slaw. The hush puppies were fabulous and our server Landon was better than great. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and a great server. We will definitely be back sooner than later.
Great experience from food to service. 9 of us and everyone said it was the best food out all week! Would highly recommend. Go around 5 if you don’t want to wait :)
Excellent food and service. The Buffalo shrimp appetizer was a great choice. Had the Polynesian chicken, teriyaki chicken breasts with pineapple and cheese melt on top. Great view out on the deck.
I'm not a big seafood eater but my wife is and we decided to check out Sara J's and was happy with the result. I ordered a ribeye steak and honestly it's one of the best I have eaten. It was so juicy and tender. My wife and daughter had some seafood plates and the food was pretty tasty. The alchoholic drinks were a little on the weak side but food was very tasty. They give you a basket of hushpuppies when you arrive at your table and they were very good as well.
First at this restaurant….and the reviews did not fail.Shrimp and grits are out of this world good.Hush puppies…outstandingCocktails great.Service excellent (Buchanan) you should ask for her as your server ?
the food is amazing , the employees are amazing , this place gets a A + from me! BTW the outside view is amazing as well :)
