I have always loved the Sam's Corner on Kings Highway and was sad to see it go. It was a family favorite. This was my first visit to the original Sam's Corner. While the food was good, it wasn't quite the same. Glad to know it's only a short ride away.
Hotdogs are amazing but I suggest you to call before you come sometimes they close before normal time.
Have never been to Sam's corner before, even after living in Surfside beach for many years. I've always liked Surfside beach better, so guess that's why I never ate there. Just happened to be down in G.C. and stopped in to be able to say, "Yes, I've been there". Ordered their famous footlong hotdog and drink. Over $10.00. GROSS!! Bun wasn't toasted, dog was cold and just a mess with chili, ketchup and mustard. Threw into trash can. Don't usually eat fast food and this reminds me why. Cashier was very friendly, though! She was the only asset to this place. One and done!
Great place. This is what the beach is all about. Takes me back to being a kid. Arcades, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, the pier, etc. LOVE IT.
We ate lunch here while spending a day at the beach. I was immediately disappointed because of the old promo signs on the wall outside. We thought they served pizza and cheese steak sandwiches. Nope. Just dogs, burgers and tenders. The chicken tenders and fries are the only thing worth getting.
There were no clean tables whick could be a result of staff shortages and good, popular food. Cleaned table and sat down to discover there is not much room at table. I had the Jalapeno cheddar burger and it fell apart. Soggy bun! Way too expensive for what the offer.
Went there at 4:00 pm on a FRIDAY, during season and the place was empty.Plenty of people all around, except in this place (red flag). Ordered a Patty Melt, and it was $15. WOW, was the cashier SKIMMING? Cook refused to make me a fresh order of Fries. (saw old fries sitting there in the cook area) This place has gone down hill FAST. Dont even think about ordering anything with Chili. Seems everyone is catching on, how BAD this place has become. Kinda sad really. DO NOT EAT THERE
I know it's a local iconic place, but the food is kinda expensive for cheap food. I'd pass personally, nothing to brag about. Hot dogs at the convience store are the same.

Good for a quick bite. Neat, clean, friendly. Counter serve, Tastey chili dogs. Great burger. Really good onion rings. 60's diner feel. Very good service.
