This place lived up to the hype! The restaurant was slammed, we waited a good 45 minutes, but it was worth it. Great food, great atmosphere. Charlies was our server and made the whole experience great! Highly recommend!
After getting seated other people came in and got served while we just kept sitting there after 15 minutes. Not even an acknowledgement. Could have it least got drinks. So we left. Not happy.Plenty of other places to choose from.Carrie & Sam Olivero from Murrells Inlet
Walked in at 9:10 pm and was immediately told we would not be served even though they supposedly don't close until 10 pm. No reason given though we suspect it's because we were wearing masks.Edit: River City Café corporate office reached out and was very polite and reassuring. I believe that we were discriminated against but they assured me that they would look into the matter and rectify it. Unfortunately, we cannot attempt to go by a River City Café, as we are home and none are nearby, but we hope to be able to try them one day. The food looks phenomenal at the least, which is why my family and I are so sad we weren't able to try them.
I was here a few years back and remembered that it was really good so I stopped again on this trip. Still really good food. The Mia Mia fish sandwich (with Cajun spice) was outstanding! Really good fries here too. Will definitely be back on my next visit. They were busy so a little wait time but definitely worth it.
Ordered a couple burgers and hot wings for lunch. The waitress brought us wings with no sauce with the blue cheese we asked for. She came back after a minute and said she gave us the wrong wings, we were like yea we ordered hot wings. She comes back in a few more minutes with wings covered in bbq sauce and proceeds to argue with my wife about it. Uhh nobody I know asks for blue cheese sauce with bbq wings, so we told her no thanks wings just weren’t in the cards for today. No apology idk I’d never argue with a customer like that. The burgers are run of the mill fried burgers, with a slogan “it’s all about the burgers” I don’t t know, I expected more. Walk another 20 feet and go to Hot Tomatoes and get fresh cooked Italian. If you decide to get an average burger anyways ask to not have Sarah as a waitress.
Great food, great atmosphere! You get a souvenir cup when you order a soft drink or tea. Our wait was a little longer only because it was dinner time. I ordered the fried zucchini appetizer, it was amazing, then ordered bacon cheeseburger with regular fries and it did not disappoint. Hats off to Cassie!! She was our server and work her butt off, even ran a bit back and forth. Can’t wait to visit again!!
Late arrival with 40 mins till closing. 2 servers immediately got our tables ready for a party of 8. Drinks were delivered quickly, our food orders were taken and the food came out perfect. No mistakes in our orders, food was fantastic, servers checked on us often and kept the drinks filled. We never felt rushed and our servers were attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend River City for great food and impeccable service.
My family and I had a great experience at River City on vacation this year! Our waitress, Melissa, was kind + quick, great at her job! Great food + atmosphere, still one of our favorite local spots!
First, to the person that complained about parking in March, yes they outside parking lot is small but it looked like they had a parking garage behind the building. The inside is pretty small but the food was great. I had the cheese burger and it was incredible.
Hands down one for the best meals we had on vacation! Not to mention a very unique atmosphere. Service was great! We had the blooming onion, Hawaiian burger and the texan BBQ burger. All were excellent! We would come back here again... Highly recommend!
