Ordered carry out from the Murrels Inlet location. Young male and female hostess were extremely friendly as I waited. The atmosphere inside was lively. Everyone seemed really happy and appeared to be having a good time. I did have a bit of a wait for my food and it was a little bit more than I wanted to spend but overall it was good.
It sucks with the "bone-in" wing shortage that I had to have boneless. But the Applewood BBQ was great. Our server Joan was Awesome (deserves a raise!). The Pizza (Chicago 7) was incredible. The BEST!
We keep trying this location hoping for better results. This will be our last visit in spite of the birthday coupon! Basic large pizza starts at $19.99 and three toppings add another nearly $6 to the price. Their beer selection relies too much on IPA and what I call "designer" beer. With three breweries in Myrtle Beach and too many to count in Charleston, you would expect some good craft beer on draft. This is not a pandemic issue; it has been this way since they opened and promised a good selection of SC beer. No Christmas beer- just Sam winter lager. I have better beer in my refrigerator!
Pet Friendly patio!! Great food and friendly service. The thick crust pizza was awesome. Try the Italian Nachos!! They are a new obsession for us.
With more than 1500 restaurants and being a native to Myrtle Beach, we have seen restaurants live and die thousands of times. The good ones almost always have lines and can survive, even thrive, during the slow season. We natives love to try new places, but just like other places, we choose a handful and rotate them due to convenience and good food/service/value. Thus, Melting Pot, while excellent is 15 miles away and expensive thus we go once or twice a year. The new Judy Boones we go to every other week (just down road) Old Chicago Pizza's sister restaurant, across the parking lot (Flapjacks) is an excellent breakfast choice. Pizza nearby to Old Chicago is numerous (Francos, Milardo's, Marco's, Carabbas, Mellow Mushroom, California Pizza, Bovines, and all the delivery places. While decent, there is nothing that sticks out as so special that warrants to put them in my rotation. Try it if you really want to otherwise, it is just a good meal. We've been three times and went on Trivia night. The trivia was two times too long. We ordered, ate, played trivia, was ready to pay and they say, "Now, time for the second half of trivia". We left. Bummer.
Ordered takeout. Was shocked when we got it home and found our pizza to basically be about the equivalent of a bad frozen pizza which they cut into about 20 tiny squares. We were all disappointed and hungry after eating.
I wanted to like it more here but one word sums up the problem-too greasy oily texture. Our garlic cheese bread I could feel the grease run down my throat. My pizza was the same. I don’t know if they put oil in it ir they use a type of cheese that separates. The nachos were pretty good. The Mac and cheese was tasty, but the chicken tenders were boring and uneventful. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. I would like to try this place again-maybe it was an off day when we went!
Great pizza freindly wait staff
I had a great time at Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom tonight. They offer beer/cider in pints and talls (23 oz). I enjoyed a side salad with lemon vinaigrette, and an individual sized Classic Pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and roasted garlic on a thin crispy crust. It was terrific. Ashley was wonderful! They have a rewards program, trivia, and TVs tuned to sports.
Great place had a wonderful few appetizers a d some good flight of beers
