Omg, the oysters!!! We were there the first week of June this year and we got one of the last 2 buckets of their oysters, and so glad we did!!!` ooh la la, the flavor..! They were worth every penny!! The taste-- wow!!!!
Nice fish camp feel with great tasting food. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops. They were cooked correctly and very flavorful. Attentive server. Go between 4 and 5 pm for a buy one get one 1/2 price entree. Second time here and they didn't disappoint.
Unless you want to eat steamed oysters or clams don't bother going here. I had grilled shrimp and scallops. Very small portion.. slow service.. you should go to lees inlet kitchen for anything not steamed. Better food better prices.
I’ve been to Nance’s no less than 10 years running, and intermittently for 45 years. Never has my family been disappointed- hot food, the BEST oysters hands-down…I even didn’t get the local oysters this trip because I was so torn- their fried oysters and their flounder are AMAZING. Service was prompt and attentive. The new interior is beautiful. Please eat here- they are like family.
Nance's. One stop to a great and experience. Jared is a great host at the bar. The good food is only outdone by the view to the water and friendly locals. It's Marsh Walk off the beaten trail.
Nance's is back baby!Ate there on 4/30 22, everything was great. Service was perfect, food was exceptionally good, and timing was spot on. We had our favorite, fried oysters and popcorn shrimp. Oysters were perfectly cooked, not tough or over cooked, Shrimp the same. Servings were generous along with a side, slaw, and those famous hushpuppies, oh yeah! Get there early and enjoy the view and 1/2 off second entree before 5pm, or arrive when ever, it's still worth it.And no, I am not connected with them in any way, except by love of seafood!
Great experience. Beautiful waterfront setting, clean and newly renovated restaurant with fresh calamari, oysters, good selection of beers and specialty cocktails. Excellent service as well.
We had problems with our food. Cold food ,part of items not received. After food delivered had a long wait for the waitress to return. We told her our concerns .She said she would talk with the manager. She came back to say she would replace the frozen corn. The smallest of our issues. I asked to speak with the manager and was denied. I know why this restaurant was almost empty on Saturday night. The manager doesn't care and it shows. Save your money there are to many good restaurants in the area. Poor food no management.
We ate at Nances Restaurant at the early bird special anticipating steamed oysters which we had been told were great. Unfortunately there were no steamed oysters on the menu and none available. There were 4 of us “foodies” . Two of us got fried oysters which tasted like cardboard breaded with cardboard….inedible! Two of our party got grilled shrimp and scallops. They will not be returning to eat; the only thing they would eat again was the baked potato and slaw. This is not a place you should go for good fresh seafood or even dog food. Save your money and yourself from dissapointment.
This is the best Seafood restaurant for fresh roasted oysters, they have been in the business for over 30 years!
