Great seafood! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated! The service was good and our party of 6 all really enjoyed our meals? It was about a 30 minute wait for dinner. We shared a couple appetizers and didn't have desert. The cost of dinner came out to a little over $50 per person with no alcohol.
After many recommendations, we finally got to check this place out. Unfortunately we just didn't have the greatest experience as others have.Service was great! No issues there.Food though... the quality just wasn't there for the cost. The grilled platter we got was ok. The salmon was a little overcooked but tasted fine. The crabcake was dry and salty. Scallops were ok. The broiled platter though was bad. The oysters were one of the the worst things I've ever tasted. The fish and shrimp were mushy and bland. I'm not sure there was any seasoning on them and the texture was so off putting we couldn't even finish. Deviled crab was pretty good, but didn't make up for the rest. Really felt like we wasted $70. Wish we could've enjoyed it as much as others have.
The grilled scallops were amazing! They were 9 or ten, and I didn't even need to use the lemon or butter, but of course I did. For the sides I opted for the scrumptious onion rings and vinegar-based coleslaw. The hush puppies were delicious, and the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake was surprisingly light with just right amount of sweetness. Everyone else in my party enjoyed what they ordered, too.We didn't have a reservation (every time I called, the phone would just keep ringing after the automated message), and so we ended up having to wait about 45 minutes to get seated for a party of ten and arriving at about 5:15.The server was so nice and so fun. It looked like all of the employees enjoyed working there. I will definitely keep this place on my short list for future vacations to the area.
Good overall experience. The waitress was nice. Food was pretty good. They had a 'fresh catch' grouper that was good. The fried soft shelled crab was a little greasy. All the sides we got were good. The onion ring appetizer was great.
First time here since I was a kid. It was a very good meal, with great service. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. All the food was great, I know seafood is expensive but it seems a little too expensive. Other than that it was great. Looking forward to coming back.
This was the best fried popcorn shrimp I’ve eaten in a very long time! The batter was perfect and the hushpuppies will melt in your mouth. I had coleslaw which was delicious and the baked potato was just right. I highly recommend the fried creekside shrimp dinner and Mrs. Marilynn’s strawberry cake was amazing!
Very quaint place. We loved the feel of it and you can tell it’s been family run. They had the BEST fried scallops! They melted like butter, so good. Right at the top of my list with Woodman’s of Essex in New England.Dessert portions are huge, good servings for your money. We had the chocolate chocolate chip cake with ice cream. Delicious.
This was an absolutely fabulous experience! We were greeted by a pleasant lady that seated us quickly tonight around 7pm. Our waitress, Laney was very sweet and attentive. My husband had the fried platter with shrimp and flounder with a cup of clam chowder, I had a grilled platter with flounder and scallops....everything was very fresh and delicious. As we were having dinner, we noticed a lot locals dining here as well. The exterior was clean and inviting, inside matched. Don't pass an opportunity to try this little gem, you will not be disappointed!
I’ve been going to Lee’s Inlet Kitchen for over 20 years. The food is always good. I’m a local resident and highly recommend Lee’s Inlet Kitchen.
Came here after work for dinner in the bar. Ordered shrimp and grits and fried soft shell crab. Wanted broiled, but they only serve fried. These items were just average. No reason to return.
