We had reservations for this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived, it was about 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by an employee. The wait staff were friendly but did not keep our waters or drinks filled. We had to look for them to get their attention to ask for refills versus them checking on us. The food took about an hour to arrive at the table. It wasn't great or fantastic, but it was good. I enjoy Italian food, but I left here a little disappointed with the overall experience.
The food was truly wonderful as was the service. We sat at the bar. However...it was so uncomfortably hot in there. Heat coming from the kitchen and the AC couldn't keep up. So since atmosphere is important I can't give a higher rating . I'd go back for take out.
Waitress Sam was great, food was very good . Veal Parmesan was good, needed more pasta with my dinner. Stuffed artichoke was quite large and tasty.
Best stuffed artichokes I've had that was like my Grandma's from Sicily. Delish! ??
Excellent food. Service was a little slow but with the staff shortages everywhere its understandable. Pasta fagoli was worth the wait. Bread with roasted garlic was incredible. Dinner eas perfect portion and incredible each time ive been. Carrot cake was as good as my moms/grandmothers
Been there twice this month. What a hidden gem.Ordered eggplant rollatini on 1st visit and beef braciole on second. Absolutely delicious with fantastic service. A must if you are in the area.
The food is very overpriced for the quality of its taste. Pleasantly surprised that they offer a generous amount of cooked fresh spinach as a side but disappointed that the chef felt they had to be different and ruin the spinach by overcomplicating the dish (drowning it in garlic and olive oil). The chicken francese was tough and the breading was lacking in substance and consistency (falling off and soggy). Lasagna was a salty, cheesy mess (wished it would have been a hot mess if its going to be a mess). The emotionless staff (no pleasantries) were slow to approach me while I waited for a pick-up order, leaving no incentives whatsoever to return.
Came for some takeout. 1st time here and food was excellent. I had veal. We will be back!
Don't know how they could be so rude to out-of-towners. Service was beyond slow. Soup was cold. Portions were "French-like." Perhaps it was discrimination against non-locals? Whatever. If you are from out-of-town I would highly DISCOURAGE patronizing this place!
Had the special seafood linguine with lobster tail and shrimp and crabmeat, it had maybe 2 shrimp cut up and one piece of lobster. It came in canned clam sauce. No flavor. Worst dish I’ve had and for 32$. Worst 80 dollars ever spent, go to casa calamari for good authentic Italian food.
