A bit of a pain to get a table, a little noisier than expected, and certainly not cheap for dinner, but WOW. We were blown away by the quality of the food, and the attentiveness of our chef and server. Despite being past closing time when finally seated, we were given a full dining experience. Very entertaining for the kids and adults, but most importantly, the best hibachi I've ever eaten.
Old hibachi place. Lower than average food, understaffed. We had a reservation and had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. And then we had to leave because they started cleaning the tables around us while still there with chemicals. The place looks dirty. The plates are not clean. First time in a Hibachi where the fried Rice has no egg, no vegetables, no protein; just fried steamed rice with oil and soy sauce. The meat was good, the sauces were good. The soup was really bad. The ginger salad dressing was good. . Our waiter was new he has no idea about the menu. Our chef forgot to serve meat in two dishes and he had to ask for more meat and cooked it again. Before leaving we asked for a glass of ice to finish our drinks and the waiter said “we have no ice the bar is closed”. We asked to a nice waitress and she brought the ice immediately. Cost benefit not a good option. Probably get the first reservation, for a better service if you want to try it.
So far not too impressed. We came by Sunday (Fathers Day) and told they do not take walk ins. We were disappointed but we made a reservation for 7pm Wednesday.We are currently still waiting for our table that “is being set up” at 7:30. We overheard a gentleman complaining he walked in 45min a ago for a party of 11 and they were called back five minutes later. Either they take reservations or they don’t but if they do they need to be more respectful of other people’s time. Let’s see how much longer we are required to wait. We aren’t the only ones waiting for our 7:00 reservation either.Update: finally called back to our table just after 7:30. Food was good and our chef was thoughtful, and funny. Food was cooked as requested. Lots of leftovers for tomorrow.I’ll bring my review up to 3 stars based on food, chef and waitstaff however they really need to work on the reservation system. If they are finding customers are sitting longer after the meal to finish or to socialize perhaps the restaurant needs to adjust their system to reflect this. From the point we were shown to our table to finishing our meal and paying it took one hour exactly which I think was fast - somewhat rushed.
One of the best Hibachi restaurants I have ever been to. As a local, we often come to this restaurant and are never disappointed from the show the chefs put on, to the delicious food, down to how friendly everyone of the staff are. It is always busy so a reservation is definitely a must. All of the chefs are amazing and we always want to come back.
Every time we go to beach we eat here. Service and food has always been good. Our cook this time was very engaging with us. There was 3 kids at the table so he done a little extra for them. I made reservations the night before so we didn’t have to wait but a few minutes to get seated. A+
It was an absolute pleasure to dine here. They were so accommodating and quick to anticipate all of our needs. We brought our one year old baby and everyone was so sweet with her. They even blew up a balloon for her. She was so happy. The food is amazing and cooked exactly how you request. The entire restaurant was immaculate. We definitely eat here again! #hachiyaMI
Family took me there for my Birthday. First time there,loved it. Robert was are Cook and he put on a Awesome show with a delicious meal. Grandsons were so excited,it's their favorite place to go out to eat now. We'll definitely be back.
The food was OK if you had time to eat it. Your salad was brought out when the rice was served. There was no time between courses and it all felt very rushed. Before we were even finished what we were going to eat, they brought to go boxes to the table. For what you pay there you should be able to enjoy it.
"Stumbled" across this place and glad we did. Didn't have reservation and were lucky to get in. Great service and entetaining habachi. Great food and lots of it. Got the 3 meat dinner and shared and still had leftovers! Great value for the food and service!
