Once again, a fabulous meal at our old favorite. Sat in the open area of the bar downstairs. Ordered crab cake sandwich and grilled flounder. Sandwich was perfectly cooked with veggies as side. Flounder was tender and mild. side salad was crispy with homemade dressings! Hush puppies and homey butter were hot, crunch, and sweet! Fabulous service!
Busy, but we were taken right in. Lots of seating. We sat out on the back deck, overlooking the boardwalk. There was a nice breeze, and it was great to watch the comings and goings of people and boats.
After taking a boat tour in Murrell’s Inlet we were looking for some seafood. Several locals recommended Drunken Jack’s, so we stopped in for lunch. We sat along the window and had beautiful view of the inlet and goat island. Our server Ron was friendly, was knowledgeable, provided great recommendations and was fast and attentive. To start we had calamari, hush puppies and drinks (frozen mango and a voodoo juice). The appetizers were crispy and tasty and some of the best drinks we’ve had in Myrtle Beach. For our entrees we had Salmon, fried and blackened flounder, fried shrimp and clam cakes. Everything was excellent. Unfortunately we were too full to try their desserts.
From the food to the service, everything is wonderful here. Came to visit with a party of nine and were informed of a two hour wait. We were offered to wait at the bar, and quickly found a table in the bar that fit all nine of us. We had wonder service with wonderful appetizers and drink while waiting. Got our tabe almost on hour ahead of time and had a wonderful meal with even better service from John. Would absolutely recommend. Well worth the wait!!!
We are local and have been coming here for years. The food was bad. I always get fried flounder and today I could not tell you what I ate. The Poor Boy sandwich was not toasted, but burnt. The fish had no taste, might as well have been cardboard. My daughter ordered a fish and Shrimp daily special. The shrimp came after she had finished the meal and there were two shrimp. We always look forward to starting with the basket of hushpuppies. The waitress said she was waiting on fresh ones- we got the basket at the end of the meal. It was $70.00 plus tip for three people. There are lots of great seafood restaurants near MB- this is not longer one of them.
My husband and I had dinner here and the service was great but the food was horrible ? We both got seafood platters very disappointed!!!!!!
We drove out to Murrell’s Inlet to eat at Drunken Jacks after it was recommended by several Uber drivers and a friend of my sister. The Drunken Jack’s Sampler was delicious. We all enjoyed a steak. My t-bone wasn’t as good as I was expecting based on the sampler but it was still good. The mud pie dessert was so good. We all had a drink from the bar and we all agreed they were good. Try the salted caramel tea-you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent on every level. Staff superb. Food expertly cooked. Fresh seafood. Beautiful deck. Wish I lived in Myrtle Beach so I could eat here weekly. Steps to get into restaurant but there is a ramp around back for outdoor seating for mobility impaired.
I can’t rate my experience more than 5 stars? Listen—this place is wonderful. While on vacation, my husband and I went twice. Not one complaint at all. The views are wonderful, cleanliness is top notch, staff is experienced and kind, and the food is out of this world. You MUST visit and experience this yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Noah was a fantastic server for our lunch while on vacation in Murrels Inlet. Our drinks were very weak but the clam chowder and hush puppies quickly made us forget that! The she crab soup was a bit on too thick side. Our oyster PO Boy and Triggerfish Bites were fabulous! The view of the marsh and goat island was lovely.
