A great restaurant we discovered by accident. We stopped to eat at another restaurant next door, but opted for seafood. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. I would highly recommend Driftwoods Seafood & Steak
The food was very good and portions generous. The blackened mahi mahi was delicious. The side of broccoli was cooked to perfection. My mother enjoyed the flounder and had three pieces leftover. My daughter ate all of her kids entree of fish, applesauce, and most of the fries. Patrons are served a complimentary helping of smoked tuna mixed with cream cheese to eat with crackers while waiting for our order. We were a bit skeptical about the combination at first but it was good and we finished it all. I would recommend this restaurant.
Went here for our April Red Hats luncheon. Staff was great and the food was delicious! I had the hamburger steak and it was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. No one in our group had anything they didn't enjoy. All 12 ladies in our group enjoyed their lunch and most said they would come back here. Driftwoods, thanks for a lovely meal. We will be back
Surprisingly good fare at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and very efficient. Recommended.
Good food and service! We got the early bird special - shrimp and flounder. My only complaint is that the bread pudding was not very flavorful. All staff were great and the prices of the early bird was fantastic! Two people ate for $37 (drinks, meals, and dessert).
I really want to like this place but am hard pressed to go back after a few times. The last time, the bartender was the crankiest there is. Whine about tips right in front of customers and then after they leave. Whine about how many to-go orders she has to deal with. The kitchen was so slow - 20 minutes to get an app. Then one excuse after another why two burgers were taking so long. Then when they finally came out they were so over cooked I wouldn't eat mine. They offered to make another but I didn't have that much time to wait again and said no. I ended up get a sub next door instead while my wife finished up and paid. To their credit, they did get another burger cooked to-go and didn't charge for it. The food has always been decent. but not awesome. We live right down the street from it so it is convenient but . . .
My wife and I wanted fish for a Friday during Lent. I called the restaurant to confirm if they had Haddock on their menu. The person who answered the phone stated that they had both fried and broiled. When we arrived at the restaurant and were seated,, I again asked the waiter about their Haddock dinners. He stated again they had both boiled and fried and the cost was $15.99. After we ordered our lunch meals the waiter returned to our table and said they did NOT have Haddock today. This was lunchtime and I had called ahead to confirm. We will NOT be returning to this restaurant as 6 months earlier we had a problem with breakfast and the server and cook would not correct.
Well established featuring steaks and seafood, fun cozy bar, great specials.
20 minutes away from Myrtle Beach is this restaurant. Don't be fooled by it's humble exterior, the food inside is fantastic. The shrimp was exquisite and tender. I highly recommend this location for anyone traveling in the area. Please share your experience with the cook, Calvin. His cooking is magic.
Don't know if they don't give the Tuna dip anymore, but we didn't get any, if they do. Also, do you not get free dessert with the early bird and Senior menus? If you do, our waitress never asked if we wanted it. Didn't really pay attention to the fine print at top of menu. And why are there no responses to the reviews?
