Wow!! Food is off the charts. Definitely worth the wait. Was very busy but staff was extremely attentive and food came out quickly when we ordered. Highly recommend if your in Myrtle Beach to stop and check it out Murrells Inlet.. Tons of live bands and entertainment.. Traffic is crazy but a great place to check out.
Mixed reviews here!Customer Service- RUDE!!!! The host and the bartender at the outside bar could really use some tips on working in the general public. (Smile, eye contact, a simple hello…)Wait- no reservations and you are likely to wait over an hour and a half- even on a weekday. Or more!Food and beverage- delicious and affordable compared to other nearby restaurants. Frozen Margarita made with Jimador tequila and fish n chips! Free basket of hush puppies with honey butter were a hit too.
My first time visiting, but definitely not the last. From the atmosphere, staff, decor and food everything was on point. We came with a large group for a birthday celebration and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. Our server was excellent and the food superb. Worth every penny and then some.
This was just a depressing outing for me. First off it took my group a hour to get seated then we were not even served with waters or anything for another hour. Finally we got our food, such a disappointment after that wait. Decent family and South Carolina atmosphere, but was not worth it. The worst part was that they had hundreds maybe thousands oro photos of actual dogs that have died on the wall. So sad, not a good night .
This was very crowded with a long wait for a table. Food is OKAY but not great. We liked ribs, shrimp and salmon. The service was good but slow. There are photos of beloved dead dogs on the wall which is depressing especially if some look your beloved hound.
First if you are lucky to have Mckenzie as your waitress you are in good hands. My family landed here on our last night of our vacation. Actually my niece jogged my memory, we had visited back in 2014. Much busier tonight. Not a long wait. Good food and good drinks. Live music was good, only thing it was a battle with the restaurant next door who had music as well. Parking was decent. Walls are memorials to furbabies gone.
How can you not try this place with a name like Dead Dog Saloon. A nice restaurant with views of the waterways. It was a hot day so wanted cold beers and steam shrimp which hit the spot. The other was a prime rib cheesesteak. That was a winner. Prices ar ed reasonable and service attentive.
My family of 4 tried to eat at Dead Dog on July 3rd. We got there at 6:45 and were told an hour (which is an appropriate wait time). We enjoyed walking around the inlet and checked back at 8 to check on the status of our table. The girl at the table was very rude and said we were many pages back on the list. When I asked how much longer she thought since it had already been an 1.25 hours, she said at least another 45 minutes. The other girl at the table said very snarky, there are big tables seated and we can't make them move faster. Wow. this is a perfect example of over commit under deliver. I get it was a holiday weekend but if it was realistically a 2 hour wait, than tell us that. We took our names of the list and left disappointed.
View and food were great, staff was very friendly and even gave our family of 6 an appetizer on the house. Hush puppies were best I have ever had. Would definitely go back again.
Stopped here for breakfast. We were seated outside on a covered deck . Service was great . Waitress was extremely pleasant. My husband had breakfast tacos and I had pancakes and crispy bacon . We both loved our meals .
