Went later in the evening after dinner, the line for ice cream was pretty long. Looking at the 3 people working behind the ice cream counter, I was constantly afraid that there was going to be hair in the food. No one, male or female had enough of their hair held back. I loved the flavor selection, we got the Michigan Pot Hole and Moosetracks, both were great (and the hair fear did not come to fruition).
Not sure what the issue was today. I love coming here but I don't know if new management or ownership. There were only 4 other people in the restaurant around 3pm. Fries came out in minutes and then we waited 30 minutes for a burger...they forgot the hot dog so waited another 10 minutes. Also, some of the staff were arguing with one another. After we ate, I went to order ice cream...at least 3 staff standing behind food counter doing nothing and I waited several minutes but Noone came over to ice cream counter. I left and doubt I will be back.
Delicious food. HUGE serving size of fries and tots. Seems to be where the locals hang out. Well worth the visit and time.
This was the worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. I paid $6.09 for a burnt sandwich with turkey that wasn’t even real meat. The Russian dressing must have been prepackaged because it was disgusting. I couldn’t even finish the meal because it was that bad. On top of that, there must have been something in it that had hidden dairy because it ending up upsetting my stomach. I have never been more disappointed in a meal in my life.
We splurged one evening on ice cream for dinner. My husband had the banana split and I had a sundae. They were large and delicious. Wish we had this ice cream shop and cafe near our home.
So dirty. Not good. I can’t understand the positive reviews. Suit your self but I won’t bring my family back.
went here a little while ago and loved it, the whole place was clean and the staff were so nice. while travelling i love to stop off in these little restaurants and food areas. the banana split was pretty good and the rest of my family got other food (can’t remember what) and there was no complaints from them either. loved it here and recommend to others
First I want to say that one of the workers (skinny black lady with short hair) was really rude to me. I was in the bathroom with tummy issues and she kept knocking on the door!!! Rude. She didn't even apologize about rushing me out. Now, hubby and I were visiting for our 5 year anniversary. We wanted ice cream and I told hubby, I know where we bout to go. We walked in and no line. Yay. We went to the location close to downtown I believe. I got waffle cone with bubble gum, banana pudding, and caramel turtle cheesecake, he got blue monster. Wow!!! Da scoops big!!! We could not finish it all. Lol must go!!!
It must be the ice cream! This place averages 4.5 stars with over 1300 reviews. It was close to my hotel, easy walking distance and as I said 4.5 stars. I wanted food, not ice cream. I ordered the shrimp po boy and gumbo soup. The po boy had little tiny shrimp with a thick breading on a layer of Cole slaw, sliced tomato, some type of sauce (maybe thousand island dressing) and cheese on a roll. Worst shrimp I’ve ever eaten. The gumbo could have been made by a cheap canned soup company. The meat was disgusting. The veggies were so over cooked they were mushy.
I order a chicken filet sandwich for my daughter. She began eating once we got home and after a few bites in we realized something didn’t seem right. As you can see in the pictures, the chicken was still raw in the middle. Please try to do better - we honestly love Ye Ole Fashioned, and hope this does not become the norm.
