If you're in Charleston, S.C. then this is a must for dinner! The wait was a bit long but the food was definitely worth it! Our service was great and the price was very reasonable. The Seafood Platter is a must! I loved the atmosphere right on the water. do yourself a favor and eat here. Check out our blog!
A local (that doesn't like seafood) recommended this off-the-beaten-path restaurant. It's nothing fancy...just great food! That's what is so outstanding about this place! They offered us some boiled peanuts as an appetizer....nice touch. We had their Shrimp and Scallop dinner with red rice, hush puppy, coleslaw and fried hominy cake...delicious!! These were the best scallops I've ever eaten! I had to have a piece of Key Lime pie for dessert...so yummy! If you go away hungry from here....it's your own fault! The wait can be long but it's so worth it!!
Out of town and found this hidden gem. Saturday evening wait time was reasonable. While your wait they have s outdoor bar with awesome views. Went with the grilled shrimp 8 oz and she crab soup. That 8 oz comes with sides. Definitely didn't go wrong with this meal. Would definitely recommend to find this place and try it out. You have my thumbs up!
We absolutely loved it here! The food was really good and I would recommend the banana pudding for dessert. My family and I came to eat here because of the show Outer Banks on Netflix and it was so cool to be in the places it was filmed but we liked it even more because of how nice the people who worked there were. One thing I have never heard of that they had us do was we circled what we wanted on their menu and that was how they took our order. Food like I said was great and came out quick. When we come back we will definitely be eating here.
Southern comfort food (but no Mac and Cheese)Grilled, fried or boiled options. Be prepared for a wait. Long line waiting for the doors to open at 5.
We arrived at 4:57 p.m. because they open at 5:00 p.m. and there was a line of 26 people waiting to get in! The food was spectacular!! From the boiled peanuts to the fried shrimp! Everything was well prepared and service was quick by wait staff that was pleasant and kind.
I saw several mixed reviews about this restaurant but checked it out when I saw the parking at Shem Creek was $15 (ridiculous). Man am I glad I did! Great food, service and fun super casual atmosphere. Can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Charleston.
No frills - just delicious fried seafood. You circle your food in red marker on the paper menus- scallops oysters and shrimp are the main foods. Sides of rice and coleslaw and a hush puppy . You get a fork - no knife, and a spoon if like me you order the she crab soup . All paper plates. We went right at 5 and the place was 3/4 full . Definitely a hidden gem.
Loved the food and the service. It really is a wreck in there but it's nott a place that claims to have fine dining atmosphere. The fried shrimp was the best my husband and I ever had.
Very good, fresh food! Friendly service and familiar atmosphere for Outer Banks fans! I will return in the future!
