Over the years, we have eaten here many times and had good food but that has all changed. We had dinner here a couple of nights ago and we had a reservation at 7:45. We waited an hour and a half for our dinner and we finally got our salad. It was another half hour before having our dinner served which was the worst dinner we have had in many years. It looked like someone had thrown up on the plate that was supposed to be a seafood platter. We will NEVER eat there again! We should have left after the salad was served. It was supposed to be a Caesar Salad but it had a Vinaigrette dressing on it instead of Caesars. They must have someone in the kitchen posing as a chef these days because whoever is head of this kitchen doesn't have a clue about how to cook or plate food. After. paying the bill of over $100. (for 2 people) we left never to return again, and we live in the neighborhood. They just lost some good customers.

Recently, my family and I had lunch at Water’s Edge. The food was good, but cost too much for lunch portions. We were willing to pay it for the ambience of a window table. Unbeknownst to us, the view was blocked because a thick coat of plastic covering the windows. We would have left, BUT, I had already paid $25 for parking and it would only be validated we ate there. The restaurant requires you to give your credit card number when parking or face the possibility of being towed. My gut instincts told me to find another restaurant that didn’t require this ridiculous transaction. I followed the 5 star reviews and trusted the system. Don’t. After the meal, the hostess took my name, last 4 of cc number and license plate number and assured a credit was to issued. It was not and the charge was $28.22. After a few days, I called the restaurant and got an answering machine. I never got a call back, so I disputed the charge with my cc company. My dispute was turned down because the restaurant uses a parking company and since I occupied a space the parking company would not return my deposit. The restaurant dropped the ball and they don’t care. Unscrupulous and unacceptable!

Had 6:30pm reservations for Water's Edge for Fathers Day & was informed UPON ARRIVAL that the menu was not available& it would be a $50/person buffet ONLY. Pretty steep but it SHOULD be a good buffet, right? ALL of the high ticket items were gone &"not going to be refilled", the food they DID have was bland, lukewarm, & common... They actually served HOT DOGS & HAMBURGERS on $50 buffet!! Even the dessert table included FROZEN CREAM PIES!! No imagination OR skill was used in doing this buffet. LOUSY FOOD AND CERTAINLY NOT WORTH THE PRICE... RUINED OUR FATHERS DAY CELEBRATION!!

We selected this restaurant from reviews and recommendations. We made a reservation about two weeks prior. Mid afternoon of our evening time’ we were informed it was now buffet. The food was mediocre, prime rib tough and had been out too long. Seafood salad was perhaps the best offering. Burgers, fries, overdone fried pork steak inedible, and leftover desserts. For $50 person, not worth the money or time.

The dining experience was great, the food was amazing, and the staff were on top of it with anything needed.A bonus to our dining were the dolphins we saw swimming next to the dock. Even from inside dining next to the window we had a beautiful view of them and it made our day.As well, parking was validated because we dined here so we used the extra time to stroll up and down the boardwalk and admire all the beautiful scenery. God did an amazing job when he created SC. So pretty!

Love going to the Cabana Bar on nice days. Great happy hour but the food has been hit or miss. Yesterday we had a hankering for lamb, so we decided to sit in the restaurant, with our expectations tempered. Well, the lamb was excellent, as was the fried chicken entrée(maybe the best I've had in my eight years in Charleston). Totally made me rethink this place.

The service was good. The food is a different story. My wife ordered the seafood platter with 4 items broiled. When it came to the table it did not look good. It was a pile of white stuff all together I order the fried seafood platter, it was also tossed on the plate for what we paid for our dinner I would expect a better experience, I will not return to this restaurant.

Been going here for over 30 years. Love the location! Boom Boom Shrimp may be the best in Charleston. Drinks were weak and expensive, but still went there everyday of the trip! All the bartenders were great especially Angela!

Great Brunch! The stuffed french toast was amazing and they did an excellent job cooking our fresh catch from our charter trip that evening. Blackened sea trout &redfish with pee-n-eat shrimp.

I would give this place about four stars because the food was well made, the view was quite pleasant, and our waiter was very nice. Though, the hostesses in the restaurant who worked on 5/28/22 around 9pm was completely unfriendly and unprofessional. She wasn't able to greet guests properly and manage tables- in my experience! Thankfully, this restaurant had a good manager- who was able to resolve the situation that we've experienced.
