Our first night in our new home town and we walked over to try this place. We met our server Joel and he was excellent! Very nice and very friendly within a few minutes if was like we were looking time regulars! The pizza was great and rates as the best we have ever had. Had the BBQ Chicken and Meatball on a half and half. Got the large but the wife and I would have been fine with the small, enjoyed the left overs anyway. Also met one of the owners and she was delightful as well. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
absolutely hands down the best pizza restaurant i have ever been to. I just recently moved away from Charleston, yet i find myself craving Toni's pizza ALL THE TIME ! Quality ingredients, quality service. Not to mention they offer vegan cheese which is a HUGE plus (:If i ever come back to Mt. Pleasant i will make sure to get some delicious Detroit style pizza from Toni's.
WOW! Sooo delicious!!! We each ordered our own small pizza…..deep dish, 4 square slices. I ordered the Mediterranean. It has no sauce. Just loads of veggies and cheese and a drizzle of EVOO. Absolutely delicious!!! Hubby got The Super….pepperoni, ham, and veggies. He ate every single bite! The deep dish crust is perfectly cooked with crispy cheese all around the edges. Every bite was equally delicious. There’s no way you will leave a piece of crust on your plate. If we ever return to Mount Pleasant we will put Toni’s at the TOP of our list! And thanks Bill for being a helpful and attentive server.
Great pizza, very impressed they had to Verners. Is the native Michigan under I can attest that this place is a must visit in South Carolina especially if you’re a southerner that’s homesick for Michigan.
Growing up in NY, I would say I'm pretty jaded as far as pizza standards go, so I can say without a doubt you will LOVE this place. I never had Detroit style pizza until Toni's but suffice to say it is amazing! You will not be disappointed! The pizza never disappoints and the salads are incredible as well. Delectable homemade pizza sauce on top, brick cheese below, tasty crispy cheese along the crust...enough said! I only wish they had another location closer to me in West Ashley!
TONYS PIZZA IS THE BEST!!! BILL is the greatest server I’ve ever had, he is the most hardworking man, always checks on you to make sure everything is okay and you are satisfied! Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in Charleston! I will always promote them and tell everyone how great it is!
Visiting family from a Detroit suburb and wanted to get some good, non-chain local pizza while in Mt. Pleasant. Did a Google local search for pizza near me and sorted the choices by highest rated. Happy to see "Detroit style pizza" in the name of this restaurant. Highly rated reviews and let me tell you they lived up to the hype! We ordered the Mediterranean and the BLT specialty pizzas. They were absolutely fresh and delicious with a perfectly crispy crust without being overly greasy. All of us- Michiganders and the locals alike; loved this pizza. Our family that lives there will be ordering again in the future and we will be sure to stop by on our next visit. We did take out but I popped into the dining area which was absolutely spotless and charming and full of Detroit, Michigan memorabilia. Try this place for sure!
Ordered from this place couple of times and I absolutely love it. They have some of the best dough in the business. They melt the cheese down on the side to perfection. Not cheap with the topping or the cheese. I recommend to any pizza lover out there. I’m not the one that argues about NY style, thin crust, deep dish or any other style. I love pizza
Needed comfort food on vacation and Toni's was perfect. The place was clean, bright and inviting. The staff was super friendly and informative. My daughter had the antipasto salad that was full of veg, plenty of meats and cheese. The in-house-made Italian dressing was just the right balance of vinegar and spices. I and my husband had the house salad, which was fresh and BIG! The in-house-made ranch dressing was creamy and flavorful. But, as it should be, the pizza was the star!!! Awesome, flavorful crust with just the right crispiness. They use authentic brick cheese, which is a nutty, mild version of mozzarella. Tomato sauce that was very fresh with just the right herb flavor. My husband and I split a small and had plenty. All together a great meal. When in the area again, we will definitely return.
If you want to try one of the best pizzas I have ever had, definitely go to Toni's Detroit Style Pizza. With several pizza places to choose from, I am so glad I picked this one!
