We found Metto Coffee Shop on our way through Mt . Pleasant. This is a small shop with a very busy drive thru. We opted to eat in.We ordered the quiche of the day, a bacon, egg and cheese wrap, latte, mocha latte and two mini chocolate croissants.I thought we might wait longer for our order with as busy as they were, but it was out in five minutes.The food was great! Quiche was right on target for my liking. Creamy center, flaky crust. The wrap was crisped in a panini press which made for a nice crunchy exterior.The mini chocolate croissants were just the right size. Unlike many filled croissants, these had chocolate throughout. And super flaky, just the way I like them!The lattes were made just as we ordered.I highly recommend this little gem. Friendly staff, good food, coffee and croissants!And remember to tip generously and be kind. These places often work short staffed.
Great coffee, reasonably priced. Delicious homemade muffins and croissants. We enjoyed sitting on the patio sipping our drinks and chatting with some locals.
My wife lived in Charleston for some time before we met. We returned for vacation and were searching for an early morning coffee. She remembered this place fondly and it did not disappoint! There are a number of coffee shops nearby but we enjoyed the coffee at Metto so much that we returned 3 days in a row! I measure coffee shops by the flavor of their drip coffees, and the dark roast here was excellent! My wife loved the cold brew with house-made caramel syrup. There is a very nice patio outside and also the option for drive-thru. While we did not try the pastries, there were several options, including for those with allergies. The staff was friendly and greeted several customers by name. Lovely spot for an early morning brew!
I have been to this coffee shop very often, sometimes several times a week over the past several years.. The staff, food and coffee are always high-quality, the staff get to know you pretty fast and are always consistently friendly and accommodating. It's a wonderful place to meet friends, read a book, or do some work.
Love Metto! I’ve tried quite a bit from the menu and it never disappoints. I love the croissants and muffins. Everything is so fresh. Staff is always patient and friendly. We love supporting local ❤️ Coffee is always hot and fresh! You won’t be disappointed.
I love their cold brew, best around for sure. The one downside is the food consistency. You never know what you are going to get. Avocado toast is great one day, next day the bread is burnt, next day there is no seasoning on the top. The other day I got the breakfast croissant and it was burnt to a crisp.
The coffee here is top notch and the employees are generally polite. The only drawback is the turnaround time for orders. Do not come here if you are looking to get through the drive-through in the mornings in less than 20 minutes, even if there is just one or two cars ahead of you.** Update **The drive-through has been a lot snappier as of late. The employee working the window is exquisitely nice and fast.
My fiancé and I were driving around looking for coffee and just happened to pass by Metto. One of the best quick decisions we’ve made on our little trip. The granola yogurt parfait is what prompted me to write this review! It was AMAZING. The yogurt had a whipped consistency with blueberry spread throughout and some delicious granola to top it off! I also really enjoyed my mocha breve and my fiancé loved his matcha tea latte. The service was super friendly and we loved the music playing throughout the cafe. We will definitely be back!!
