Just ordered there for the first time. I ordered a GF pizza with no cheese and only 2 toppings. I arrived home and it’s was covered with cheese. I called the restaurant and they told me it was ordered this was. I’m allergic to cheese and have been for over 10 years I have ordered 1000’s of pizzas before without any issues. She told me there nothing they can do. Well there’s $16.00 in the trash! I would never go back! Do better mellow mushroom
ha... what a joke!!! We were seated quickly around 3 in afternoon,.. and we sat...and sat... looking around noticed 4 tables that needed full bussing and cleaning.. there were 2 regularish looking guys seated at the bar and Us...and that's it in the joint. Server(s) and cooks were busy chatting and phoning in the openish kitchen... occasionally one would look up and then quickly back to the social business at hand. we ended up leaving without any other employee interaction besides being seated. Would not recommend based on service alone..
Two of us visited at around 5:00 on a Saturday. The service was poor and the food was mediocre. The table and floor around the table was not clean. The poor service was not due to lack of staff. There was plenty of staff- possibly poor training of the staff or poor management? I’m not sure. And, please pull your hair back when serving food. Won’t be back.
The spinach artichoke dip is good but I wish there was more chunks of artichoke in it. Its good but it's mostly spinach and cheese.That being said, everything else is delicious! And if you don't eat all of the dip before the pizza arrives use it on the crust. It's amazing!!!Good atmosphere, friendly staff. I believe our waitress was Logan and she kicked butt. Was friendly, fast, and really made our lunch break fun. Highly recommend this place to anyone new to town.
Mellow Mushroom has always had my favorite pizza in town! Though I've eaten here a bunch in the past, my roommate most recently brought home a small mega veggie for me. As usual, it was awesome with great sauce and soft Parmesan crust. My other go-to is the Caesar pizza which is amaaazing! I'm not really a huge fan of the sandwiches but everything else (pretzels, salads, calzones, etc) are consistently great.Service and atmosphere are nice. Go get yourself a cold draft beer and pizza!
UPDATE: Mellow mushroom has been nothing but great with correcting my issue! And Chris reached out so quickly I was very impressed. Although he wasn’t in today the other managers gave me no issues! thank you!My boyfriend ordered us a pizza there last night that was suppose to come with a drizzle of blue cheese or ranch, we chose blue cheese and our pizza was drenched so wet it was inedible, not bc of the blue cheese just the amount of by the time we got home it made the pizza so wet it fell to pieces as we picked it up, tried to call and no answer. Still 3 stars bc the pizza is good but had to be ate with a fork. We live in Awendaw so it was too far to go back.
Pizza is usually always good. Take out service is dismal. Waited 30 minutes passed pick up time, told they were waiting on one item. Further questioning, they forgot to cook a pizza. Only offered a refund after I asked for it. Not apologetic in the least. Manger hid and wouldn’t even come out. Cooked items were luke warm and the first cooked pizza was wrong. Asked for thin and got regular, normally nbd but just added insult to injury. Unfortunately they one of the only places in north Mount Pleasant. Think twice about pick up here especially on weekends.Update: never refunded as promised.
The service was wonderful during my visit last week! The server offered recommendations, I loved them! No wait time, quick service and amazing food! what more can you ask for?
The 2 stars are for the taste of pizza. It's delicious and good as always. However, the wait time is beyond ridiculous for any pizza restaurant. I called at 6 pm to phone order 3 medium pizza for 710 pm pickup. When I arrived at the restaurant pickup counter at 725pm, the restaurant told me it would be another 15min, which it sounded reasonable. After several asks the restaurant, "How much longer??" I got my 3 medium pizza at 815pm. Can any pizza chef explain to me why/ how does it take 2+ hours to make these pizza!!? Enough to say, I won't go to the Mellow Mushroom anymore.
Please SHOOT me if Mello Mushroom ever comes up again for pizza choices. Ordered by phone at 5:45PM and finally got pizza around 8PM. 2+ hour wait to get 3 medium pizzas To-Go. Poor expectations set by staff when ordering via phone with a 1.25 hour wait time. Then arrive 1.5 hours after ordering only to wait another 45 minutes before getting pizza. The restaurant was less than half full with dine in customers. This extremely long wait time certainly reflects the stoner theme of the restaurant. Staff are laid back almost to the point of being in a coma. The pizza is OK but not worth the wait or hassle.
