So I have been coming here for several years and let me say the place used to be great, but ever since COVID...Downhill...tonight was the last straw for us and I think we will look for another place. Our waitress was pretty rude and just basically didn't check on us, in fact we thought maybe her shift had ended she was gone so long...the kids were looking around and asked "did they forget about us?"It took over an hour to get our sushi, and when we finally did it was made so rushed and so poorly that nearly every piece fell apart when you tried to pick it up. It was so bad several at the table started to use fork and hand method in order to actually eat it.On top of all this since I was with a "large party" there was a mandatory 20% tip...so for garbage service and terribly made sushi I was also forced into tipping.Used to be a great place. Not sure what has happened.
Over priced and bad experience from food to front of house.I doubled check to make sure seaweed salad was vegan. It came out with fish eggs on it, I took a bite and found out. It wasn’t compensated for and they didn’t ask to make up for it in anyway. Only Hibachi I’ve ever ordered that they couldn’t make fried rice without an egg…which we found out after it came to table when they brought steamed rice out and told us. I guess it was pre made ?The fried tofu was super soggy and mushy. Everyone at my table complained about the quality of their meal. One of the hibachi orders was cold ! If we were not so tired we probably would tried to get this meal compensated for. The server failed to clear the table of any app plates and fill water ( they were not busy)Also I’m pretty sure the host was super high. I couldn’t believe his responses. ? on the way out I was greeted with a slow “wassss uppp? “Lol.
The 2 stars are for the amazing food but the terrible service is a masterpiece. Lack of kindness from the server is uncomfortable. My experience was dissatisfied. This review is more about getting improve the service. I wish the best for the restaurant.
My family ate here for the first time today for a special occasion for my daughter (her choice). I wouldn’t normally try a new place without contacting them first as I have a gluten allergy, but was hopeful they could provide a couple options. The waitress was very visibly annoyed when I asked if they had an allergen menu and said “you’ll have to ask your server”. She showed up as our server minutes later and asked what we wanted to order. I asked if there were any gluten free options. Again, a pause and super annoyed look. She responded “well, what are you looking at? We can modify some things.” I told her I hadn’t reviewed it all because the menu was extensive and I had no idea if there were any options. I told her I would look. She immediately turned to my husband and asked if we were ready to order in which he responded that we needed more time. She left impatiently and punished us by not coming back for quite a while. As I didn’t want to play a guessing game with the menu and continue to frustrate her, I ordered a plain side salad. She was perfectly fine with my decision and did not offer to help me find anything else to eat. I had felt very unwelcome and I do not enjoy drawing attention to my allergy, especially when I was trying to keep the lunch happy for my daughter. I realize customers with allergies are inconvenient to restaurants; I get it. I never want to be annoying. But I also want to be able to join my family on special occasions. I will never attempt to eat here again. I will go to Locals where the staff is better trained and helpful.
Declining. Sashimi is getting smaller and smaller while the price goes up… I mean I know there’s inflation guys, but come on. Look at the size of that measly thing! And peep the sushi that’s supposed to have shrimp among all that lettuce. Seriously a shame as the food is great when it’s done right. Regular customer, sadly no more. This has been happening consistently now and I held off on reviewing… sadly not a one off.
I love Fuji and most of the food is fantastic, but y'all really have to take the ramen off the menu. I mean it is a terrible excuse of a meal. Basically spaghetti noodles with a watery "broth", a hard boiled egg, and artificial crab for some strange reason. The only good thing about it is the pork belly. And 20 dollars?!? Seriously people, never order the ramen.
Birthday Dinner for our daughter who turned 18. We had sushi, poke bowl, udon. All very good. Attentive service. Clean, nice ambiance.
They don’t peel their cucumbers, so that can be rather disconcerting when you’re eating a roll. They also use Krab stick instead of crab, but that’s to be expected, I suppose. There are better sushi places for the money.
[Take-out review]Overall: Great option for take-out, especially if you live nearby. The good: Friendly staff and an easy pickup. We had take out, but they have plenty of seating both inside and out, and the atmosphere looked nice and cozy inside. Tons of options to choose from the menu. We got the Topper, Volcano, Mt. Fuji, and Valentine's roll. Everything was fresh and tasted great even to-go. Prices are about what you'd expect for mid-level sushi. The not-so-good: The food was great, but not extraordinary enough to warrant 5 stars. Didn't come with chopsticks, which I'm guessing was just a mishap.
Good food, atmosphere, and service. Reasonable prices.
