We are from Norfolk and in town working for a couple of weeks and someone recommended Crave for dinner. We were early for the dinner menu and were told we were more than welcome to sit and have a drink until dinner was served. We ordered the Mac and Cheese as an appetizer to share and still ended up having leftovers. The chicken Marsala was to die for, but our most pleasant experience was Cameron. She wasn’t even our waitress, but always seemed to be there when we needed something, with exceptional service. We will be back.
Went for date night. We ordered the crab cakes for the appetizer and they were so good. Ordered a couple drinks and the bartender is definitely a little heavy handed but I’m ok with that. The problem we had was the food. For the upscale prices for the food it should be coming out exactly as you ordered it and it should be mind blowing. The “Best” Mac n cheese was ok. Wasn’t life changing at all. The water they served had a terrible odor and taste. I ordered the grilled ribeye cooked medium rare. Steak came out medium but I’m not much of a complain. My wife ordered the scallops and they were good but once again, the price doesn’t match the food. We spent $163 (including tip) and I was not thrilled or wowed by this place. Will be telling my friends to avoid it. Won’t be back again. Ok good just not worth it.
Everything was outstanding, food and service. We tried a wide variety of all the apps and plates including the world winning mac and cheese with short rib. Highly recommend a hidden gem for sure.
Poor dining experience from start to finish. Staff is not accommodating and the food lacked seasoning and taste, especially for the price.
Expected more after reading reviews. Food was just good but nothing special. Service was very good though.
Food was wonderful. Wait staff superb. Great atmosphere
We went do to nice reviews. Had a reservation for the dining room waiting 20 minutes past reservation awkwardly in bar with kids, told our table was still not ready and watched group after group of same number get seated after us. We were told it was due to staffing. Compromised for an out door table, it was 100 degrees waited 45 minutes for a glass a wine, was told bar was backed up. Ordered the special fish was not fresh and dish was under seasoned. I couldn’t eat it. My daughter ordered a steak it was grisly and poorly seasoned. We couldn’t wait to leave. Not sure what’s changed as the reviews are so good but we won’t ever go back. Many other places in the area that have awesome food and friendly service.
Third time being here and extremely delicious always great customer service mac and cheese omg so good and so was my brother in laws short rib sandwhich
Second visit. First time was good this time not. Ordered Mimosas with Prosecco. Drinks came out flat with no bubbles at all. Seemed like the “mimosas” were made with white wine. Three attempts to have bartender make correctly but never got it right. Bad start to the experience. Food was over-priced and average at best. Example: Tomato salad appetizer consisted of about 4 tomato slices, 6 cherry tomato halves and some cheese - $15.00 for that???? Service was below par.
Kate was an amazing waitress. Flies were bugging us though. Food was ok but Kate was so wonderful.
