Nice place with a few locations. The burgers are great in that they feel more like a deluxe McDonalds burger. Very similar size as a McDouble. For a $6 burger I would expect more then one tiny slice of tomato, only problem I felt with the burger.The buffalo fries were decent, the fries were soft, borderline soggy but the sauces were mixed and every fry was well coated.Overall the food is pretty good and the location itself is very nice with an outdoor seating area.
This was my first time visiting Come Back Shack, but it will definitely not be the last. I called them earlier today to ask if they could accommodate my group of 40 middle schoolers for dinner tonight, and they were SO nice. When we arrived, my kids were served quickly, and they really just took such great care of us. The staff here is AMAZING, and I was thrilled to get to meet one of the owners and his family, as well. And the food? AMAZING. Everyone was raving about it once we got back on the bus. You guys are truly phenomenal. Thank you for taking such good care of us! ❤️
Finally got around to trying the new Come Back Shack location in central Mount Pleasant where the Urban Cookhouse was located. I ordered the standard burger, fries and coke. It was very good! Everyone that worked there was super helpful and the food came out fast and hot. To make the most of the visit, I also ordered a pretzel and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant at Bowman Place. The option of a drive-thru is also very convenient.
I've been to the Come Back Shack twice now. Both times were pleasant and I would definitely recommend if you want a quick, good burger for a decent price. They have many different bun and cheese selections, along with a fancy ordering machine up front if you want to skip the lines. Not the most user friendly if you're not tech savy and feel safe inputting your credit card information into the system manually, or you can choose to pay with Google Pay if you have that options. Service is great with a friendly staff. They have an creative, woodsy feel dining room and also offer great milkshakes for desert. Would give 5 stars if they had bigger portions for the price, but this is still a place worth stopping at!
I love the vibe of this place. When you walk in, you can use the kiosk to order and create your own burger. Love how you receive a number and they bring the order to you. I understand that they are smash burgers so they are going to be thin. I just wish that you'd receive a bit more meat for the price you pay. Overall, great prices, great service, great venue, and great staff. I can't wait to go back!
Stopped in for a quick lunch while in the area. They have a nice selection of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and tuna “burgers” with your choice of toppings. I tried the tuna burger which was a nice piece of fresh tuna grilled to the temperature I asked for with toppings added. Also had the seasoned fries which were very good. You can sit inside or outside on a small patio they have in front that has tables and chairs. Very casual place and would recommend
Best burger and chocolate shake in Mount Pleasant. Y’all need to go see Adam at the Come Back Shack. Family owned, locally sourced ingredients, AND homemade ranch you can take home by the jar! We didn’t try for the longest time because we thought it was Cookout-esque, chain, fast food. Could not have been more wrong. Did we mention the hand-cut fries and fried pretzel with Nutella? Definitely *coming back* to try the Ahi Tuna Sandwich! 10/10 all the way around!
Bought 2 burgers, 2 milkshakes, 3 orders of fries for dine-out. They originally forgot our third order of fries, which is infuriating. We live 20 min away so I’m glad my wife checked our order. Somehow this all cost us $34.25.Food and milkshakes were good but everything added up to be extremely expensive for 2 people. Extra fries weren’t necessary, which was a good thing to me. I think the relatively high price is to offset the huge amount of free toppings and the beautiful decor in a nice location.I’ll probably eat here again, but I will not do takeout. I’m so sick of people forgetting parts of an order that are clearly written out for them to see, it really isn’t that hard. Also $3 for like 35¢ worth of fries is a bit ridiculous
The Come Back Shack is the BEST burger place in town. They are local right now but in a couple years they have the potential to "go places". You can order with a quick scan of your phone or, just order up front. Their burgers are original, fresh, and quickly made. Their milkshakes are so good with an endless amount of flavors. Their food is all made fresh, and how I know they care they import their potatoes from Idaho and not Indiana which is ranked 47th worst place to grow potatoes out of 50. Also the atmosphere of this place is amazing they play seasonal music and they have paintings of the co-owner and I love them. I enjoyed going and DEFINITELY will "comeback" to the Come Back Shack. 5 stars
If you haven’t been to the Comeback Shack or it’s been awhile since your last visit, go and meet my new friends John and Cecil. From the second my friend and I walked through the door, we were greeted by John’s smile, kindness and witty banter. We became instant friends. Cecil, equally as fabulous, created our delicious and mouth watering burgers. In addition to these two new friends, the owner was extremely kind and wanted to make sure we not only enjoyed our food, but had a great dining experience, which we absolutely did. I look forward to going back not only for the great food but to catch up with my new friends. ?
