Ooh the biscuit beignets! Delicious! All the food was very good. I had the Mardi Gras Omlette with City Grits. Food took a little time to prepare but that was understandable for a popular Sunday brunch spot. It was hot and flavorful. I was visiting my cousin and she recommended this place. It was a winner for me! Oh, the cold brew was definitely energizing!
My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant. We first tried this place on July 2, 2022 it was so good we went back on Sunday morning. Our waiter Jaden was was amazing he was very knowledgeable in explaining the menu because we had no idea on what we wanted to eat...our overall experience was great and we will definitely return.
This was my first time at Another Broken Egg Cafe. I called ahead to see what the wait was going to be. I was told 20 minutes and to use the waitlist app. The waitlist app is pointless, we waited until the app said the wait was down to 0-14 min. then arrived on time. When I checked in with the host I was told it would be another 20 min. After the 20-30 min wait (on top of the 20 minutes we waited at home using the app) we were sat at a table and served drinks by a very nice waiter (Joey). We ordered our food right when our drinks came to the table then waited over an hour for our food. When the food arrived it was cold, like it had been sitting at the pass for awhile before being picked up. Some of the food was luke warm like it was maybe prepared one dish at a time instead of preparing the food per table all at the same time. We let the waiter know that the food was served cold. He informed us that the restaurant was training new kitchen staff. The manager did comp half the meal. Hopefully if we ever go again the kitchen will be able to keep up with the number of tables seated. The whole experience was just slow since we waited a total of 2 hours for breakfast.
This was my 1st time at this restaurant. The environment was clean with lots of room. I was not a big fan of the food. The waitress was super nice and great engagement.
Food is second to none and the mimosas are amazing. Our bartender/waitress Lorie made us feel right at home. I definitely recommend coming here anytime of the day.
My mother and I had a mother/daughter outing for two nights in Charleston and on the way home decided to stop somewhere in Mount Pleasant for brunch. We happened upon the Another Broken Egg Café via internet search and decided to give it a shot. We were impressed by every staff member, but Lori, our server, was just amazing. She was funny, personable, and on top of things. Another note, my mother has a gluten intolerance and was able to get gluten free toast, which is a rare treat for her. The food was awesome, but the servings were healthy and neither of us could finish. We didn't want to waste such delicious leftovers, so I told her that we had a long drive and limited room in our cooler, so she brought boxes that accommodated everything whilst taking up little space and made pleasant small talk with me while helping me pack everything up, then brought out a roll of tape to help keep the box shut! Talk about above and beyond! Next time I am in the area, I will definitely visit again!
They have an awesome gluten free menu with lots of options. I love the lemon goat cheese pancakes with blueberries. The service has always been great for us. It's a good place to bring kids too.
I visited this Cafe this morning of April 13th. Was greeted at the bar by very nice Asian women she took my order and we had short friendly small talk. She left for a second to get my order and a bearded older white gentleman Maybe had a pony tail came out the back and yelled to me you picking up"? So I ignored him bcz I felt he was being rude. then he came closer to my face yelled again. YOU picking up ?" I said picking up what? Finally the server came back and told him that she was helping me. SMH! MORAL OF MY STORY! Dude Dont RACIAL profile ! assuming I'm a food deliver or uber eats. Say good morning 1st ! Learn some manners treat your customers with a little respect .
First time I had a bad experience there, but it won’t stop me from going back again. I had Eggs Benedict and the eggs were luke warm, the ham was totally cold, the muffin was never toasted and the potatoes were barely warm. Coffee was great.
My brother and I were in Mount Pleasant for a day trip to Bull Island and stopped at Broken Egg knowing that their great, hearty breakfasts could get us through a long morning of hiking. We were already at the front door when they opened at 7am and informed our server that we had to be at the Bull Island Ferry by 8:30. I had the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes with Goat Cheese which is absolutely delicious and my favorite item on the menu. Our server did a great job of getting us fed and on our way with happy stomachs. We have already been to several other Broken Eggs in both Asheville and Columbia and they have lots of really unique breakfast items, like the Carrot Cake French Toast...great stuff !
