An update to my review; The food was excellent, *and excellent again*. I think this will be my new "go-to" for Hispanic food. The Calamari (check photos) surprised me with how good it was. Fajitas, enchiladas, nachos - every order thus far has been good and almost exactly what I was looking for when I was craving it, and I can't find a reason to complain.

When for a last minute dinner around 7pm July 18th. Probably one of the worst meals we have I had the Golden Tacos. It didn’t have a taste at all. Just plain ground beef ( zero seasoning) shells fell apart because they were soaked from the beans. The server was terrible, never come around had to find him. No napkins and silverware. Lots of standing around.

I needed a different chair due to a recent surgery and my server didn’t hesitate to get me a chair from a nearby establishment that worked better for me. We appreciated the good food, but the kindness even more!

This place was packed, but we were lucky enough to find a couple of seats by the bar. The Pollo Con Chorizo was insanely good! The Churros with Ice Cream are the perfect sweet treat to follow. When you get the chips and salsa in the beginning, make sure to ask for the salsa verde too. Even though they were slammed, the staff were attentive and pleasant. Thanks for a great dining experience!

We have been to the Daniel Island location, but was on the way home from soccer & I was craving authentic... it was delicious ?

What a treasure this place is. We stopped in on a Saturday after a little league tournament at the Shipyard. There were 10 of us and they took us in like we were their family. The staff went way above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for every person in the party. The margaritas were amazing and made with fresh squeezed juice, not a mix. Every person’s meal was excellent, from the fajitas, to the enchiladas to my street tacos. The Carnitas is some of the best I have ever had and my mouth is still watering as I think about it. We will be back!!!

We used to love this place. The last two times we were there (Feb, Mar 2022) the food was tasteless. No Mexican flavor whatsoever. After the bad meal in Feb, we thought it might have been a fluke but no. We spoke with several neighbors who have noticed the same issue.

Arrived around 1pm. Restaurant was not busy at all and we were seated immediately outside. Server sat us and not the hostess. Server was Alex. We were given dinner menus and no lunch menus so we figured that was their only menu. We ordered 2 shredded beef burritos and 2 shredded chicken enchiladas and that is exactly what we got. The food came with nothing else. No sour cream. No shredded lettuce. The burritos and enchiladas were served with the same sauce and all of the food was cold with the cheese on top barely melted. The food was bland and the corn and flour tortillas were not cooked through enough to be able to cut with a fork. The worst Mexican food I ever ate.

Was seated immediately at a table that had been cleared but not cleaned. Cleaned it ourself. Was served warm chips and salsa. Loved the salsa. Drink orders were taken, and eventually served. Order was taken and the fajitas were the first dish delivered. About 5 minutes later, a few more plates came. About 10 minutes after the first dish, two more plates came. Finally, 20 minutes ( and yes, we looked at the time) later, the kitchen brought out the last dish, except we were missing the setup for the fajitas. Waitress, Mariana, never came to check on us by now and we had to ask the staff member at the register for flatware, then ask the kitchen staff for the rest of the fajitas ( which at this point were cold). 4 of our dinners were supposed to have guacamole, and none did. So we asked for one serving of guacamole and it was added to the bill, after waiting another 10 minutes for the guacamole. Never received a refill of any of our drinks. The wait staff tends to gather in the corner by the kitchen door instead of serving the patrons. This was the first time EVER, that I didn’t want to leave a tip for the staff. Even checking out, I felt like I was more of a bother than a customer with a $100 check. I left the tip, but truly wish I didn’t. I am leaving this review because it takes a village….if one waitress gets by with providing horrible service, no tip is her “penalty” per say. But when a poor review is given, it reflects on the entire staff. This visit, the entire staff failed to provide a clean table, decent service, and hot food, which is what people eat out for. The food was good. It would have been better hot, and prepared the way we ordered it. It would have been nice to have our drinks refilled at least once, maybe a smile or kind word from a waitress, and to be treated nicely when I explained why I shouldn’t have paid for guacamole that came with our meals to begin with, instead of being treated like I was just a complainer. The hostess was the only smiling face we encountered. It is a shame….We experience phenomenal service at most establishments in this area, but this place truly failed tonight.
