Staff very friendly and attentive. They served spare ribs on their Carnitas dinner which I thought was odd. Seafood soup was decent but wouldn't order it again. Salsa bar was stocked fairly well. Big Margaritas! Place looks much better after the remodel. Prices seem very fair. Try the Flan!
This is my new place to eat. I have always enjoyed San Jose but went to more Authentic places on weekends. Some of those have taken shortcuts during these interesting times but this is different, the food is good, you have a salsa bar !! And the prices for weekend lunch is wonderful. Compared to others close by that has done away with Saturday lunch specials, this is the place to be. Very good beans and consistently good food
Food wa s great, but it was very rude to come put a kiosk in My face while I was still eating, have it on the tip screen already and not even let me see what I am being charged for my food!!! Never asked did I need anything else!!! I miss when eating out was a nice start to ending experience! I dont understand the kiosk concept, so e of us need paper receipts for many different reasons!
The place looks great. At best, everything else was mediocre, I won't return.Our server didn't understand basic English required for ordering items off the menu. She got one entree completely incorrect and forgot to bring out three side items we ordered. We had to go find her for refills and the check. She then insisted we pay for items we didn't get, finally correcting the bill after several minutes. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
Before I start with this less than stellar review, as a multiple business owner myself, customers are going to have valid issues from time to time and the management needs to properly handle these instances. I never leave a bad review without giving the business a chance to fix the problem on site. 90%+ of my online reviews are 5 star. This one is not. 2 stars were earned for service and food. As a long time customer of many San Jose Restaurants throughout the Midlands, I'm used to good service, good food, and fresh beer. That last item is the issue. A pitcher of Dos Equis Amber accompanies my meal at any Mexican restaurant in the US. The beer served today was flat and I informed the waitress. I'm not sure if she understood? The food showed up quickly and we ate. I had a pint out of the pitcher and that was enough. Thankfully my wife had some tasty sweet tea to wash down my dinner. As our checks were delivered, again, I questioned the waitress about the flat beer. She said to talk with the manager upon paying. I did just that and told him that the keg needed to be changed, as the beer was flat. He responded that the kegs were "serviced" this morning and there was nothing wrong with the beer. He reluctantly removed the charge for the pitcher and mumbled something. Very professional. Of course, this was the same guy sitting at the table near the bar with others eating Chick-Fill-A when we arrived. Mr. Leon might want to reassess his choice of manager at this location.
Ever since they have gotten new management this place has been nothing but amazing. Food came out quick, server was funny and made my family and I feel comfortable. Definitely going again
I’m go to San Jose all the time on 378 but thought I would try this one!!!! NEVER AGAIN THE GOOD WAS HORRIBLE. I got the chicken soup and the broth of the soup was clear… the soup had no taste or flavor at all… my husband fajita was burnt… we never received the cheese dip and they gave my son an chicken quesadilla that wasn’t even closed and barely had cheese on it
Food is muy delicioso and we always split an entree. Service is great, love San Jose!!
Love me some great Mexican food and this place did not disappoint great food and and amazing friendly staff
